This place is FILTHY!!! Tables, chairs and floors are filthy upon opening!
They serve slimy, wilted and rotten salad greens with dirty pears with the labels still attached!
The pastries are old and poorly contained!
The chairs are beyond filthy and beaten, as these photos depict!
Servers handle cash and then without gloves or washing of hands go on to handling food and drink.
One of the employees who open in the morning sweeps and then moves on to making coffee without washing his hands! AND, the same guy has opened the store late each time I've gone at restaurant opening time. One time he was late by over 20 minutes, so I hate to wait for the coffee to be brewed!
Ants, flies and other flying insects crawl and fly all over the tables, chairs and floors and the bathroom is DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY!!!
The Dept. Of Health should be summoned!
I hope this is not representative of Millburn and it's residents.

As far as food goes, all the breakfast and lunch sandwiches very rarely miss. My two favorites are the Egg Guac on multi-grain ( best multi-grain I've ever had) and a tie between Chicken Pesto and Terriyaki Cheese Steak.
Their coffee and espresso is TOP notch, from cold brews to lattes with a plethora of milk substitutes.
Environment is one of the best with awesome posters and vinyl albums on the wall, to the music that's pleasurable yet not distracting. If you visit more then once, you'll see familiar faces with tons of regulars during all times of the day.
School let's out around 2:30 mon-Fri, so from then till 4ish there many be some raised noise levels but that's because handfuls of people are excited about their day enjoying which ever item they've purchased.
I reccomend Rock n Joe's, particularly this location on 63 Main St in Millburn...
Read moreSeeing the great ratings and reviews here, I always wanted to eat at this place. We finally dined in here today and it was soooo disappointing.
The food is really expensive considering the taste, presentation and portion size. I ordered a veggie omelette and Belgian waffles. Pretty simple right! But guess what, the omelette was too mediocre and bland. Looked like no efforts were made to make it taste nice (I bet your homemade omelette cooked in half sleep would taste better). The service is very poor too. Once you sit there, you are on your own. The staff wouldn’t bother to check how are you doing and hows your food etc.
Food at local diners taste much better. Please don’t waste your money as the food is totally not worth the taste and portion size is miserable too.
Not you forget - The washroom was quite untidy...
