Just an awful place, barely put together as far as the staff goes and the effectiveness of their execution and information. We wanted to purchase a sectional, and first there was a miscommunication with the employee. We revisited the store to sort it out, no big deal. But when we go back, we're then told that they only actually have three sectionals in stock, and the only one that was facing the right direction for what we needed that was MUCH more expensive. We are then told that they won't be back in stock of much of anything until the end of August. Nice, as roughly 7 customers are intently browsing your furniture, none of them have any knowledge that hey, you're not actually going to be able to buy this. One of the floor models we liked was facing the correct direction, not our original choice, but we could manage. So we opted for asking if we could purchase the floor model, as they wouldn't be in stock of anything until late August anyways. We were told that there has to be a floor model for people to see the price. Really? For a couch they can't buy? Even better! I said let's cut our losses and go. We later found what we THOUGHT was a sectional on their website for roughly what we paid mistakenly in store and ordered it. Turns out it was JUST the chaise lounge for nearly the same price as the entire sectional we originally thought we were purchasing. We checked to see if we could just order the rest of the sectional and call it a day, as it would seemingly be the easiest option at this point. Naturally, they don't even list the rest of it, not in stock just like EVERYTHING else.. imagine that! So, we decided to call to cancel it. We get some woman who barely speaks English telling us that cancelling the order and refunding the money is "out of her scope". She wanted to give a reference number, and we had to push with her for about 5 minutes to just transfer us to someone who could solve the issue, and we have now been on hold for about 20 minutes waiting for this to be taken care of. All in all, the experience I've had with anything Big Lots related in the past 24 hours has been completely terrible and I would HIGHLY recommend taking your business literally ANYWHERE else. I know I will never visit any of their locations ever again and will let others know to avoid the trouble and take their business...
Read moreTerrible experience...do not use the delivery service unless they switch to chuck's delivery service. The first sectional we ordered was delivered as promised for $70, but too big to fit in our apartment. Our fault, so we picked out a recliner and love seat from Andrew and Adam who were very kind, friendly, and accommodating. But when the second set of furniture was to be delivered the delivery boy called to tell my boyfriend that he didn't feel like delivering because he was alone and wanted to spend the day with his girlfriend so he would come another day. My boyfriend told him to bring the furniture he would help. He showed up with only the recliner and more complaints about working. When my boyfriend called bigots the women there Donna, Norma and another rwoman, whose name.i do not remember, gave him a hard time about it and needed him to bring the receipt so I sent pictures of the receipt from work and they figured out that we did order it and then promptly blamed it on Andrew and Adam that the love seat was not delivered. No apologies, no care at all but free delivery next time? What?! So they were to deliver today 6/28at 1 pm... no one shows up. I called irate , to be honest as now I am going to be late for work. But thank God for Andrew and Adam. They had Chris from chuck's delivery come with my love seat in half an hour... they were wonderful! Read moreWent here on 8/30/25 to check out the reopening and see if the store was any different and it’s not for the most part there are some things that have changed such as lack of seasonal items but the main reason the new store gets a 1 star is an employees attitude towards a customer. This cashier was rude and wanted us to put back an item and we said we don’t want to go back to the back of the store to return it we want to check out and go. Mind you she had a cart right next to her for items that need to be returned. Anyways we set the item out of the way and she precedes to grab the item and places it somewhere else and scoffs at us for putting them there in the first place because we wouldn’t take them back and so we decided to just leave our cart full of stuff and left and as we were leaving the rude associate said “Whatever” in a rude tone. We will not be back to this store ever and btw this was around 2pm on the 30th and she was an older black lady in case a manager wants to do something about this...
