Up until yesterday, I would have given DogMode 5 stars. I have recommended them to several people, and my dog has been boarded and groomed there anytime we travel for the last two years. Unfortunately, my interaction with them yesterday, 10/17, has left me deeply disappointed and dissatisfied. I made a grooming appointment for my dog for 10/16 a few weeks ago and paid the $50 deposit. I know, appreciate, and understand DogMode's policy of a 24-hour notice to any schedule change with their appointments. I had to work on the morning of 10/16 and notified them on Monday, 10/14, that I would need to modify my schedule. I never heard back from them until Wednesday morning (the morning of my appointment) telling me that the latest they could see him was 30 minutes after my original scheduled time. I told them I would need to schedule a new appointment. They said that would require another $50 deposit in addition to the $50 deposit I had already paid. I told them that was very frustrating as I had given them multiple days notice that I needed to adjust my appointment. They ended up working with me and said that was on them because they did not respond to me, which I appreciated. This is the service I have always known with DogMode. On the morning of my new appointment, 10/17, I got stopped at the TRAX tracks at 10:55 (my appointment was at 11:00.) After sitting there for 10 minutes, I called DogMode at 11:05 AM and told them I was right around the corner stopped at the train tracks and that I would be there as soon as they lifted the roadblocks (I could see the business from where I was stopped but was at the front of the line with a mile plus of cars behind me and couldn't turn around.) They assured me it was fine and even laughed about how that always happens to people. At 11:09, I received a text from them saying if we were not there by 11:15, they would not be able to see us. I responded that I had just gotten off the phone with them and was directly around the corner, stopped by the train. I then called again and spoke to someone, and they assured me it was fine and that they would let the groomer know. I was now two phone calls and text message communications into this delay. At 11:14, the roadblocks lifted, and I was parked at DogMode at 11:15. I walked into the business at 11:16. The employee at the front desk was helping another customer, so I waited to be helped. At around 11:20, my groomer came out (I was still waiting to be helped), and she was very short with her greeting and unhappy that we had been delayed. We have had this groomer before, and she did a great job, so I didn't want to make anything of her annoyance. She quickly told me I would be charged extra for being late. I told her absolutely not, and that was beyond unacceptable. I had called twice and texted, and I was assured that would not happen. She told me that that was their policy, that this was her time, etc. She quickly told me I could speak to a manager, which I happily accepted. The manager came out and was very professional and friendly. She apologized on behalf of the initial schedule change communication and the groomer that morning. She told me they love my dog there and would love to see him stay for his appointment. I felt uncomfortable leaving him as I did not trust he would be treated well after communicating with the groomer. I understand owning a business (I am a business owner, too), and I certainly respect other people's time (that is why I called multiple times.) Read moreThis place is AWESOME! We had been taking our dog to another daycare/boarding company much closer to our home. Our dog did not seem to love it there and was coming home with as much energy as we dropped him off with. We looked all over the place for something that we though fit him more and I believe we have found that place. He is a small dog so I love that this place has a small dog area. Most locations just throw all of the dogs into a small area of just concrete and cold floors. This place has an indoor section where he can feel like he is at home. He can lay around one of the many couches. They have pet beds all over the place. They are always cleaning. And even better he can go outside through a doggie door whenever he wants to lay around or play. They also have cameras which is SO COOL. We watch him run around and play all day long knowing he is working some of that energy off. We also love the employees who work there. The front desk girls are super sweet and helpful. And even more important are the girls who sit with our dog in the back. They give him all sorts of attention and love which is amazing and we could not ask for more. Boarding was super simple and a good experience overall. I have small recommendations below, but overall this place is the best out there in our opinion and they actually have staff that care about your pets. If I could nitpick and make any recommendations I would include the below.

I was very nervous about taking Jules to a place to be watched cuz every place we called and checked out just seemed not fun for her to be at but I worried for nothing cuz we found DogMode. I'm not one to really give reviews and such to things or tell people to go to places unless I know its a great place I even have told people at the dog park we go to start going to DogMode when they ask me about places to take your dog. I have brought Jules here twice now and she has loved it both times and we will be boarding with them as well when we go on our trip. They are very friendly to you and your dog when we brought Jules in for the doggie interview she was scared and was not sure about a lot of dogs around her so instead of telling us we could not bring her they gave her a second chance to come the next day and try again AND SHE DID GREAT thank you for giving her another chance!! both times Jules has come home so tired from all the fun she had. They have great prices to there pricing is by fair the cheapest for day care and boarding the cheapest we had found when searching for a place to take her so we are so happy to have found some where with pricing that does not make you want to cry HAHAH also they have 2 great big spaces in door and our door space for your dog to run around and play with the other dogs. OH YA and how can I forget one of my favorite things about DogMode I really love that they have webcams so you can get online or on your phone and go spy and check up on your dog to see how your fur baby is doing so if you get worried at all about your fur baby just go check out for your self to see how they are doing LOVE IT!! I do have to say sorry to DogMode for my dog having to be put into time out for a little bit for starting to play to ruff thank you for having patience with her and letting her come back cuz she really does love it there and loves to play and be around other dogs she is turning 2 in May I feel is starting into thoughts terrible 2's....
