Milton Food Mart — Local services in Milton

I’ve been shopping here for like 5 years and the quality has really gone down. The only employee that I like and is helpful is JJ but seems as if he’s gone. If you buy food or 21+ products ⚠️ BE WARNED ⚠️ they will over charge, argue with you and fight just to not give you a refund. I have had all three happen to me. Especially if you’re black.. some employees will pretend they don’t recognize you.

I provided proof of a bank statement, my ID, the exact time of purchase and the box of the original item with the stickers intact and they STILL found a way to argue with me.

Doesn’t matter if the transaction was 5 minutes ago and I have the receipt… they will be inconsistent and contradict themselves if you call over the phone as well. I’m considering no longer supporting this local business. Too many businesses in Mattapan are happy to take your money knowing full well the quality of these products. No...

Son went in to grab snacks the other night. I suppose his dress code suggested to the counter person that he is a drug user (had on hoody chilly night). As he was checking out the counter person asked him which brand he wanted, by mentioning it to him by name unfamiliar to him. Assuming he needed something to roll up weed. He was confused at first until it was pointed out to him. Being a polite young man just smiled and said no thank you I don’t need that just the candy I am purchasing please. Would recommend maybe the employees wait until their customer asks for an item before suggesting based on appearance.

My other negative experience is my company shipping me product and it being left there. Oddly enough the package (jewelry) went missing never to be found nor did I receive any call back .

Used to be a really good place . They stopped making subs , then the deli was taken out and it's been down hill ever since... they seem to have a fear of snow or maby they watch too much tv or should I say news on tv.. because if the tv says snow ... they close ..also they changed the hours and they close at 8 pm now.. or 7:15 or 7:30.. speaking of closing they closed up the joint guess they don't consider themselves essential , although being the closest market we do !
