I cannot recommend Mary’s African Braiding enough! I recently took my 5-year-old granddaughter there for her first-ever salon experience, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we walked in, Mary and her staff welcomed us with warmth and kindness that immediately put us at ease.

Mary’s gentle approach was perfect for my granddaughter, who was understandably a bit nervous. She took the time to talk to her, making her feel comfortable and special throughout the entire process. It was heartwarming to see how attentive and caring the staff were, especially when my granddaughter started to feel a little upset. Mary’s soothing words and gentle touch truly made all the difference, turning what could have been a daunting experience into a joyful one.

The atmosphere in the shop is vibrant and filled with positivity, showcasing the rich culture behind the stunning braiding techniques. The end result was absolutely beautiful, and my granddaughter couldn't stop smiling, proudly showing off her new hairstyle!

Never will I come back let’s start off by saying they were very unprofessional from jump I requested knotless braids for a 4 year old but instead they put box braids which made me mad but I didn’t say anything I let it go due to her being so far in her head smh then i requested waist length braids knot the ends and I want them straight I had to argue for 1 hour about them braiding my ends down and tie the ends the original lady who was doing my hair was okay with doing it then the grandmother told her stop and they cut and dipped my hair the top is great the ends are so bogus and here I am 3 days later and braids are coming down and not to say they locked me inside and wanted to fight me while my kids was with me because they didn’t want to do the job I agreed to pay $250 for and they lazy and dirty didn’t even care to wash they body or brush they teeth Fatima is the rudest and most aggressive one but that day she was going to be humbled so quick and it shouldn’t have to be like that go elsewhere I wish I could post the video...

A picture is worth a thousand words. Before I read any reviews, I looked at the different styles presented and noted 2 things.. the braids were neat and even...sold!! After reading the reviews I decided to visit the establishment (I wasn't gone take that weave out until I was sho'!). I was greeted by a pleasant woman who answered all my questions and the next day I popped in to have my famous micros. Let me add that the atmosphere was very bright and the place spotless. Here comes the good stuff...you know how you watching a movie of a lady in the hair salon how she gets turned to the mirror after and she smiling hard? Well that was me today, love it (I was gonna swing my hair back and forth but y'all know day 1 through 5 of fresh braids is killa, so I sat down)!!
