I went here today on 4/23/2025 to get a pedicure. I went in and was seated at chair number 9. I was greetedand seated promptly. I was asked by a woman which pedicure and I replied the basic pedicure. This was my budget so that I can tip as well. She suggested the 45 dollar pedicure and I told her no thanks. She then proceeded to service me or lack there of according clearly to what I was paying for. She started my pedicure. She removed some of the polish, made no effort to remove all of it. She then lackadaisically went through the motions of a pedicure without actually doing one, no cutting, cuticle push back, old polish still visible and all. She then applied the scrub on the top of my feet only and then pointed for me to place that foot back in the water. I then promptly scrubbed my own foot with the scrub really well and then placed my foot in the water. The tech next to us and her face was stunned. I was so annoyed. Then she did the same to the other foot, literally all the motions and not a pedicure at all, then she massaged the scrub stuff the way she should have with the 1st foot and asked me to place it in the water. Old polish still visible. I then handed her the polish that I brought with me and she suggested their polish which was thick and sticky. I didn't have the energy to even go back and forth about white regular polish. I bring my own because of germs and I know, as a licensed Cosmetologist that they keep it too long and will use it to the end of time. I sat there and let my feet dry, feeling like I wasted my time and energy leaving my home to pamper myself and then feeling buyer's remorse. 1st off, you should never do a pedicure according to what people pay for. You don't know who you are serving. I have been licensed to teach Cosmetology in the state of Texas for 10+ years. Also, you should still provide all steps that are required by licensing to be considered a pedicure. This woman literally played with my feet for 30 minutes. This is also why everyone should be required to go to school for Cosmetology. When it's made about the money, the service is different. I have been going to Irving, TX for my pedicures for over 10+ years because no matter which one I get, they make my feet feel great. It's just less steps. It's optional. I don't get all the bells and whistles because of all the chemicals in products these days. You will literally be pampering yourself and poisoning yourself at the same time. No thanks. I went in today because I didn't feel like doing my own pedicure and I like the finished polish look better than when I do them myself. As of today, I will be just adding brushes to my own pedicure products to clean up the polish. Every pedicure should include all these steps for a basic pedicure every time. Pedicure Steps in Texas A professional pedicure in Texas, or anywhere else, typically follows a series of steps designed to care for the health and appearance of your feet. The process usually starts with a relaxing soak in warm water, often with added products to soften skin and cuticles. Next, your nails are trimmed and filed to your preferred shape. The technician will then use a tool to push back your cuticles. Exfoliation is performed to remove dead skin, often using a pumice stone or a tool that resembles a cheese grater. Your feet and legs may be massaged, and a moisturizing lotion is applied to hydrate the skin. Finally, if you choose, your toenails will be painted with polish.
If you opt for a more advanced treatment, such as a gel or shellac pedicure, the process includes applying polish in a specific order and curing it under a UV light, which can make the polish last longer.
I got up, paid, I still tipped and left. Dissatisfied and disappointed. I will not be going back here. I really should have left when I had to scrub my own foot with the scrub. I just wanted to see what this...
Read moreI have to give a review of this place just so people can adequately be warned. I have gone to Diva about eight times since last August. I usually get one nail with acrylic because it splits down the middle and that’s the only thing that works. Every time I have gone in they act like they have never seen me, have never experienced someone asking for just one nail done and always try to upsell me. I know it’s not a big price item but I tip 100% for the hassle of it. Lin, another guy who is thin and I don’t know his name, and the manager are the only people who have done a decent job on that nail. I have done a few pedicures and the only ones who did a fantastic job were Lin and Lam. The women have done a soso job but at least one gel polish comes off my toenail within days. I went last week and a new woman who was older made my split nail bleed. She was using a fake nail to try and get the acrylic off but that only works when it’s loose. I told her it hurt and to stop but she kept going until my nail was bleeding. The woman doing my pedicure didn’t intervene and I finally said she has to stop working on my nail. Maybe it was a language barrier but she attempted to use the fake nail a third time and I had to raise my voice a bit to tell her to stop . The woman doing the pedicure told me the other lady felt bad but said it was an accident. I get that accidents happen but this was pretty serious ! It wasn’t just a little blood but a decent amount . Considering the price and what happened I won’t be returning . I can only suggest you ask for Lin or Lam if...
Read moreI spent 120. Before tip. Less than a week the dip nails with the tips came off. I’m a truck driver going to see my son I had seen in 2 years due to him being in the military. I had to stop to find super glue to glue my nails on. I wanted glowing in the dark nails and toe nails, she said no she couldn’t do that so I picked a beach theme for my nails and toe nails just to later find out they couldn’t do that either. The toes nails and finger nails were to look like the beach with sand color sparkle near the cuticle and then a color that looked similar to the ocean. Was heading to San Diego to the beach. No jewels available but didn’t learn that until she was already doing my nails in a sea green color. Not at all what I wanted. I had done services here before, but never again. I normally tip very well, but over and over she disrespected me and kept saying yea, yea we can do that. She didn’t clean up, trim my cuticle or nails or shape them before gluing the tips on. Worst service EVER! Underneath my nails were so awful, caught all kinds of dirt and my nails had all kinds of debris under them. I’m a truck driver my hands get dirty, this nail job made the nails hard to keep clean because stuff got between the tip of my real nail and the bottom of the fake tip. I didn’t have time to do a whole new set of nails when...
