Sabor a Mexico — Restaurant in Mineral Wells

Horrible! After many many tries they failed once again. We had a party of 15, the waitress asked everyone who was on whose ticket we explained. After taking our order it took nearly 20-30 minutes to get our mix drinks as well as regular drinks. We even had to remind her about the margaritas we ordered. It took over a hour to get our food and refills oh let’s not even get started. Let’s not mention it wasn’t even busy. We get to check out where we spent another 20 minutes due to our waitress not giving us individual tickets stating we needed to go to the register for separation. Each person told her what they had somehow the lady still Manages to charge the last person $162 because she forgot to put stuff on other peoples tab after they told her what they had. My friend calls today and management blamed it on my friend because she should’ve made sure everyone paid for their meal and drinks. I’m sorry but that is the cashier responsibility to make sure she is correctly entering in everything they tell you. This isn’t the first time it has happen a month ago we had a baby shower there and once again cashier didn’t add everything to everyone’s tab. And the host was stuck with a $91 bill from items she didn’t put incorrectly when people told her. We definitely will not be going back after management blames the customers for stuff the staff...

Seated immediately. Drink orders taken immediately. Margarita was outstanding. Unsweet tea was very good. Chips and salsa - chips are outstanding but the salsa tasted like tomato juice from a can with a small amount of spice and other finely chopped up ingredients. Did not care for it at all. From the very first taste I was disappointed. Also a bowl of shredded cabbage mix was served with the chips, never had any thing like it but wasn't impressed. Ordered chicken enchiladas with green sauce - chicken was tough and flavorless. The green sauce was ok. Beans and rice were good but nothing special. Buddy ordered pulled pork tacos and he loved them. Best he ever had. Waitress was very nice, checked on us frequently but not over bearing. Very nice and courteous. Family environment and clean. Family of 5 (3 kiddos under 11yr)... $104 for cold food. Got cheese enchiladas that the cheese was not even melted. Our waiter was also the bartender I assume since he was behind the bar most of the time. They stuck us in a corner and forgot about us. Our waiter only came twice... once to get the order & once for a drink refill. He never brought more chips, napkins and anything. The restaurant is situated inside the Brazos mall. The decor was minimal and the restaurant was clean. The women's restroom had doors that wouldn't stay shut. When we checked out the cashier told us " wish you would have said something when you got the food" to which we replied "he never came over to check on us where we would say anything."
