I previously wrote a 1 star review for here but after a few months and multiple visits I’ve decided to revise this rating. My issues with this target and the reasons why this is a 4 star are as follows:
It is pretty sparse in here. There is about one aisle side per category; one row for pet products, one for cleaning supplies, one for kitchen wares, etc. This can be a bit frustrating as a lot of the time I get 2 options for one product. It’s a touch annoying but I’ve come to appreciate the fact that at least they have stuff here.
Everything that is more than 10$ is locked up. When I first wrote my 1 star review, this was a huge point of contention because I would have to wait 10-20 minutes for the one of four employees to come over to unlock the product I need. Batteries, detergent, soap, electronic items (phone cases and chargers), and basic necessities are a process to obtain. However, after shopping for a while there, I genuinely really appreciate this. Little things I don’t need are never in stock because they simply get stolen. I’ve talked to employees and this is the reality. The safety measures ensure that everything that is VITAL to living is in stock and if it’s not that they have proper accommodations to restock asap.
This doesn’t apply to me exactly, but it is something I feel guilty about. A whole section of the store is designated to clothes for women, but there is only half an end cap for baby supplies. 4 options for baby food, one or two for diapers. That’s really it. I feel so guilty for guardians who come to get supplies and there is none available, yet cats and dogs alone get their own section 4 times as large as the baby section.
The staff here is genuine and sweet. They are so kind and so funny. They keep the store bright and the highlight of my trip is laughing with the employees. They make this store so much better than it was the first time I came in. I realize that this target does what I can with the...
Read moreThis Target store is a little smaller than others you may go to. But location is the key here. If you live or work downtown, chances are that they have what you need when you need it. Very convenient. The two floors can be a little confusing and the layout a little inefficient. For example, things you usually find near the food, such as paper products, in a normal Target store are on a different floor. But given the space, who can blame them.
I do have to say that the staff here are very present and very helpful. You can't say the same thing of other Target stores.
If you need to park they offer free validated parking in their underground ramp, you just need to spend $20 in the store.
This is a 1st world 21st century petty issue, but it is nearly impossible to get internet reception while in the store. Their wifi is rarely working. As someone who does a lot of research while in the store, this can be obnoxious. Once again, petty I know.
Overall: Convenience, Staff, Parking, Selection make this a good destination to get...
Read moreIf you're looking for groceries, please shop literally anywhere else. This store is staffed by entry-level amateurs and slackers who has no concept of supply chain management or inventory control. I work for ILS (Independent Living Services), meaning that I do grocery runs for my homebound clients in the area who are elderly or disabled. But over time, this Target has stopped stocking literally everything that my clients had sent me there to pick up. They used to carry Tina's Frozen Burritos for 49 cents when I first started going there for my clients who are on fixed incomes, but not anymore. Same for Banquet chicken pot pies for 99 cents -- had them in stock when I first started coming here, but not anymore. Now this Target has gone so far as to quit stocking jalapenos and even STEAKS, and literally no one in the store, not even the MANAGER, has any idea as to when their stock would be resupplied. So much for being "essential" workers, am I right? Photo attached: Target's awesome lack of...
