This establishment offered the very worst customer service I have ever experienced. If you are a U of M student and are looking for places close by to get a haircut I would reccomend going to Shin's Hair Salon in Stadium Village. The wait times are minimal and the service is much better.
Tl;dr for below: go here if you like waiting for over an hour and a half and being treated like an idiot.
At first I was told the wait time was first forty minutes. I came back after forty minutes and was standing around minding my business just waiting to ask how much longer it would take, until one of the ladies working there rudely told me that it would be another twenty minutes. I was fine with waiting twenty minutes but this person treated me with such disrespect, talking to me as if I were a child. She said "we just don't cut hair that fast I don't know why you came back so early" (I came back so early because you told me to come back at this time and also my haircut only took ten minutes). Instead of coming back in twenty minutes I waited thirty five and came back. At this time they were still not ready and when I went to the front to ask for an update when the same lady said "Hey can you just sit down and chill out we'll get to you soon", as if I was unreasonable for asking for an update after AN HOUR AND A HALF. After this I received a very rushed ten minute hair cut. I don't mind waiting a long time and getting a quick haircut, but if you're gonna charge me $15 for the whole thing at least give me a little...
Read moreThis place is absolutely terrible lol. I came in to get a haircut, and the woman who cut my hair was very annoyed that I wanted a "high and tight" instead of what was on the note from my previous visit many months ago. She interrupted me saying that "high and tight" is not a haircut. I had to explain to her what a standard "military style haircut" is. I wasnt even rude about it 𤣠Annoyed and argumentative, she finally began to cut my hair, still following the notes from my last visit, and very, very aggressively grabbing my head to move it to which ever angle she needed. I stopped her and politely suggested that she just put a 3 on her clippers and shave everything down. She began yelling at me. I interrupted, stating that I'm just here for a haircut. She finally complied and gave me the haircut I asked for, but rushed through and did a terrible job. I didnt even argue about it. I just paid the bill, went home and shaved my head. Giant waste of my time and money. Ive been coming to this specific location for 4 years now and never once have I had this problem. Idk if she was stressed out, just having a bad day or what. But this was beyond ridiculous. Ive never ran into such behavior in any business. All the other staff have been great in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been using "Great Clips" for several years now and I've always been happy with the quality of the haircuts I get and all for a great price. I love the fact that they recognize and honor the men and women of the US military and give Veteran discounts. Not to mention, on Veterans day I received a free haircut. The staff has always been super friendly and fun to talk to. The stylist that gave me my last haircut was so extremely good I swear she could've done it with her eyes closed. I'm was extremely impressed. Now, it's even easier to get a haircut using the Great Clips app. No more waiting, not that I did before, but they do get busy. I travel a lot with my career and I'm always on the go so the app really helps makes easier for me. All I do is just check in on the app and then the it lets me know how long I have until it's my turn and the app even gives me directions to the store I checked in at or any Great Clips store you want. Plus the app tells you all the wait times at all the stores in your area. Pretty cool. I've recommended Great Clips to everyone and If your reading this and want a great haircut or having a bad hair day and need help...lol.
