Blarney Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Minneapolis

Husband and I went here with another couple to grab a quick drink after a U of M event. Not only are the pints of beer ridiculously over-priced, but when I gave the bartender more than enough cash for our tab, intending to leave all the change for her tip, she brought back the wrong amount of change. I intended for her to keep all of the change anyway, but when I pointed out that I had given her more cash than what she gave me change for - she lied and told me I hadn't. I'm not sure if she thinks this is a good tactic to milk even more money out patrons, or if it's the trick they pull on drunk college kids every night, but since I'm neither an idiot nor unable to perform simple addition, it simply left me thinking she was a snotty b*tch, suspecting she over-charged me for the beers to begin with, and vowing to never go back. If you're in college and want to get drunk on the bottles of cheap beer they serve out of tubs while listening to crappy music - go for it. Otherwise, if you want a drink in the campus area - go over to Stadium Village (Stub & Herb's or Sally's) or head to the Kitty-Kat Club or Loring Pasta Bar in Dinkytown. ...

I can expect slow service in a busy bar, but not with only a half dozen patrons in it. The four of us ordered drinks, after waiting 4 min our waitress come back with one then wait another couple of min for the other, then another couple for the other and then finally the 4th $7 pint arrived. The Onion rings were undercooked, breading was soft and flavorless. Irish nachos were ok, confused on the dressing that's served with them, but the beef was tender good flavor and you receive a very generous portion. We asked for the check 20 min prior to leaving due to such slow service, which I'm glad we did because I still had to deliver the bill to the pay station and then wait yet another 10 min for the change which was given in the form of ten $1 bills. Haha I was absolutely blown away by this place and the service. I'd go back one time to at least see if there was something like a full moon that night or to further confirm my opinion...

AWFUL FEMALE BARTENDER

Went with my friends for a bday celebration. She overlooked my id not once but three times. Im 26. My id is from florida and im in law school here. I made a joke saying if you don't think i look 26 then my work out is working. She responded with "i reserve the right to refuse service to anyone". I was appauled and absolutely disrespected as were all my friends during their stay. I paid for everyones tab and left her zero tip becasue of her attitude. She then had her "manager" aka big giant fat bouncer escort me out. Absolute joke and immature child of a bartender and should be fired. DO NOT GO HERE THE DRINKS ARE OVER PRICED AND THIS BARTENDER IS AN IMMATURE 34 YEAR OLD PREMADONA WHO NEEDS A SERIOUS...
