I really was over here to go to the Dollar General. I've been wanting to go in this place for God knows how long. I happen to catch it this past Saturday and they were having a sidewalk sale. I looked at a few of the items that were on sale on the sidewalk and was amazed that I was able to find some real treasures. It was nothing that I actually needed though, so I decided to go inside. This is what I noticed that they also had a sale on outerwear for 50% off including brandnamed stuff. As soon as I walked in I noticed a dress that was just absolutely adorable on a mannequin but again I wasn't in this area to do any shopping. I just really wanted to go to the Dollar General next door to pick up a couple of items. As I'm looking at this dress I turn to my left and see this really cute jacket and I'm thinking to myself you know what out of where is on sale. I looked at the jacket and realized quickly it was not my size. However it was really really cute. So I decided to look around since I had a chance to since it was actually open. I turned to my right and I see what I think is a robe with fur lined around the collar. I immediately make a beeline over there and notice that it's $990 lol. You all know that face you make when you're trying to figure out why in the devil is something the price that it is? Well I quickly figured out after opening the robe that this was a jacket lined with real fur. The fact that it was what I would consider vintage amazed me especially for the price that they were asking for. Unfortunately it just wasn't my style. My eyes decided to move to the left and that's when I noticed ALL the REAL FURS... My heart skipped a beat and I began to just salivate over them because the prices were amazing even if they weren't half off. Who cares if they're second hand, or even third? From what I could see they were in very good condition. They also had some faux furs that I was not interested in. Let's just say I believe I left two real ones there because I took all the others. When I tell you that that is one hell of a find in a place like that, it is one hell of one. Now I assume that this place is a store that uses its funds to assist with what I would call something like urban ministries or a church of some sort. I say that because when I made my purchase, I was thanked quite a bit for it. It actually made my heart feel pretty good that I was able to do something, and even though I don't know what it was that I did, for a business that may have really needed it. And on top of that get something that I've been wanting for years!? Anywho, they also have some China sets that I have never seen before. When I tell you that I have never seen so many pieces to one in one place at one time, I sincerely mean that. They are absolutely beautiful. They also have this vintage coat and hat hanger that I wanted, but again, I didn't really have any use for. They do have quite a bit of treasures hidden within everything in there. You should go take a look because you might find something that will tickle your fancy just like those furs tickled mine....
Read moreThis is a phenomenal thrift store with great deals. They are always going above and beyond with their service as well, greeting each customer and asking if you need any help when shopping. Further, I was highly impressed that during the COVID-19 pandemic once they reopened, they were not only enforcing the state mandated mask wearing and social distancing but also took everyone’s temperature and gave hand sanitizer as they entered the store. A true gem in the Mint...
Read moreI finally was able to stop by yesterday, 04-01-24. I'm usually working when they're open. They had a great variety of items available, from men and women's clothing and shoes to housewares to books to jewelry to knickknacks.
I didn't make a purchase as I made a pit stop while out running errands. With deals like 75% off of items with yellow stickered tags and 50% off of items with res stickered tags, I'll definitely be back. Was also glad to see that they assist...
