Cloak and Dagger Escape Rooms — Local services in Miramar Beach

Unfortunately, we did not get to experience the escape room that we reserved a time slot for last week. We chose Cloak and Dagger because the experiences were 30 minutes, instead of the 60 minutes others in the area are. My 8 year old requested to try one for his birthday and we were not sure how he would like it. We reserved a spot (and paid online) for 1030 am, and drove from Crestview to fulfill his birthday wish. We arrived at C&D at 1015, after walking through the village in the rain and the door was locked! Despite the fact the establishment was supposed to open at 10. We waited until 1030 and no employees arrived. Bewildered and upset, we searched for contact information online and all the phone numbers that were listed left us with dial tones or no answer. We waited for a total of 30 minutes and nothing. We left with a disappointed birthday boy and frustrated momma. We attempted calling a few more times throughout the day and finally got an answer at 1430. The young man, said he was sorry but there was nothing he could do expect invite us to go there now and do a room. This was 4 hours past our reserved spot and we had headed back home. So, he just showed up to work at least an hour late and didn’t attempt to contact people with reservations to make it better. Not the best customer service. I’m not sure we will go back, but I would like a refund so I can put the money toward a different experience for my son.

UPDATE: we were contacted about our experience and a refund was processed and we were able to reschedule on the house. We went today, and my 11 year old and 8 year old very much enjoyed themselves. Our game master was extremely accommodating and made sure the boys had just enough clues to succeed.

Wonderful experience. Me and a friend went here while we were staying in destin. Never been to an escape room but the experience was amazing. Wonderful staff, very good experience in terms of gameplay. And of course, lots of laughs and fun. The puzzles are unique and a fairly moderate challenge. I reccomend this as a starter for escape rooms for sure, of course more difficult options were avalible but nonetheless a great place! Thanks again for an awesome...

Fun theme and decent puzzles, probably ideal for escape room newbies or families with kids. We’ve done quite a few escape rooms and this was definitely easier than most. The puzzle master, while extremely nice, was way too helpful. He basically gave us the answer before we were even able to start the puzzle, which kind go took the fun out of the experience.
