We stopped here during our visit to Destin. The reviews attracted us here.
Initially the service was great, and the ambiance was good. For a Wednesday night it was slightly busy but nothing too crazy.
We were sat upstairs and for a big party of 9 our waitress was initially attentive. We ordered drinks and we ordered plenty of apps too.
Well when it came time to order the main course we asked for recommendations and I ordered the key lime snapper that the waitress ( Cassie Seligh) recommended, however when I asked what sides came with it and if I could change it the waitress responded with a smart remark stating "well if you want to be difficult then i guess!" At this point everything got very awkward, as a paying customer who's party spent $462 you would think i wouldn't get such a response specially since i didn't mind paying an up charge if needed.
My brother in law asked to change his too but at this point it felt like such a bother that it truly threw off the whole vibe and we just wanted to get out dinner and leave.
Of course the restaurant has a disclaimer that automatically they will tack on a 20% tip on their menu so maybe that's why she felt like there was no need to give us better customer service.
At the end she has the audacity to state "oh out of that 20% I only get 15% and the other 5% goes to the restaurant, almost as in her insinuating that we needed to pay an additional 5% for her smart remarks and terrible service.
I do not recommend this place if servers feel like they can treat customers like this.
When we go back to Destin we will not visit this...
Read moreMy family and I went on vacation last week and we ate at this location. this was recommended by one of the front desk receptionist at our condo where we stayed at. After driving 14 hours took the recommendation as it was walking distance from my way were staying. I had the cajun pasta which is supposed to have alligator crawfish sausage. Despite not having alligator at all the food was bland tasteless and the pasta was mush unfortunately very disappointing for a $30 plate. My wife had a fish sandwich, again very bland, horrible dish she did not enjoy it. My son had a burger, same thing bland frozen meat. Patty was just not edible. One of my daughters had a gumbo which it was not bad still a little bland, but a lot better than the other dishes. all in all there was six of us with six different plates all very disappointing and bland. when I brought the intention to my waitress on not having alligator in my pasta, she went to go talk to the manager reported back stating that the alligator is grounded up with the sausage, and don’t know what to tell me is what she stated. There was no other communications on trying to let us have a better experience she did not offer anything like Can I get you something else she did not offer anything besides, don’t know what to tell me.spending over $100 and still being hungry I was very disappointing I just would not recommend this place to anyone baby it was an off day but that day was horrible we should have known something was wrong when all six of us got are food with...
Read moreFriendly staff, we got right in, speed of service was also great. A stand out location for sure. My family and I ordered drinks and appetizers right away. $$ wise I would say it is very comparable & fair to other restaurants in this area.
I got the sangria which I would give a 2/5 stars to for the fact that it purely tasted like watered down wine.
We also got an order of the smoked cheddar bacon bombs & I must say that was the best thing we got delivered to our table. 5/5. They were delicious with the bacon, small pieces of jalapeño & the blend of cheeses just waiting to melt in your mouth. On side was a sweeter sauce that I thought balanced out the spice in these bombs perfectly. A jalapeño popper lovers dream but also could add new lovers to that team. A must order if you visit.
I ordered the scallops & grits- I have to say it was not what I was expecting at all. Very very sweet dish that I was waiting for that small kick of spice from my love of the traditional “shrimp & grits” to surprise me but never did. Odd flavors on my palette that I feel like sadly all disagreed with each other. Scallops were cooked perfectly however.
I did not get a chance to try the bacon wrapped amberjack that the majority of the people at our table ordered but the fish was compared to tasting like chicken. I thought presentation wise- the dish looked beautiful. PHOTO OF THIS DISH IS ADDED.
All in all, if you’re in that area I would say give this place a try, however my family did all agree that it’s more of a “one and done”...
