I brought my family of seven to eat here while we were staying in Baytown due to the variety in the menu. Just to set the scene, the inside dining area has a bar and numerous tables. It probably seats 13-16 families. When we arrived there were only 2 other families seated and no one else in the restaurant however all the tables were dirty, not wiped off, and food debris on the tables (but no dishes). We were told to “sit anywhere we like” so we chose a table big enough for our family and stood there for 5-7 minutes waiting for someone to come and Wolfe the table. After we started to all grow tired and sit at the table I had to have one of my sons go to the bar and ask for someone to come and wipe it off. The gentleman who came a few minutes later began to spray the table while we were seated and wiped the food debris onto my daughter. I was shocked that he didn’t even say “excuse me”. I instructed my children to stand so he could clean the table and he continued to spray the tamale several times more, wetting my husband and myself in the process. He said nothing to acknowledge us or even attempt to me kind. I mean, “Really”. The food was mediocre and they completely forgot to bring my young son’s food at all. I had to go to the bar to refill my own beverages. Of course they added gratuity to our bill but quite frankly, I don’t believe in tipping for horrible service. It was not just the server but the entire staff. When I had to go to the bar to refill my drinks, the bartender acted as if I were I inconveniencing him altogether. I can not believe what horrible treatment we received. I will not be returning and will definitely advise my friends not to waste their time or money at this restaurant. I’m completely disappointed. Read moreThe pizza never disappoints! We come back every year on our yearly vacation to Destin! I am giving it 3 stars because we do love the food and maybe to go would be a better option but our last 2 visits we have been VERY disappointing. The service is terrible (I think it is partly due to them being short staffed) and what really irritated me this time around was that the manager walked table to table asking how everything was and if she could get us anything and once we told her we needed refills she turned around to the server (the only ONE that they had waiting on the tables outside, poor girl) and told her what we needed ...that defeats the purpose of the manager even asking us if she could get us anything..... so again I will say we LOVE the pizza, Meat lovers and Hawaiian are our go to's, however the service is extremely slow ...you wait forever on your pizza, and rarely get refills or even paid attention to . Roberto's, PLEASE step up your game , get some more help, and get a manager that does more than just bark orders and walk around acting all high and mighty. I always recommend this place to other vacationers such as myself looking for the best pizza in Destin, however, after our trip this year (July 31st) we are not sure that we will be back . ALSO, DO NOT get the "sweet tea ". It used to be fresh brewed..now it is some sort of instant DISGUSTING tasting sweet tea. I would also love for this to be changed back. Thanks for your time in...
Read moreI am an extremely avid restaurant supporter.... but what happened to my family today (4 small kiddos) was pretty rude! We placed our drink and food order at the same time.... tucked in a corner table and tried to keep everyone calm and quiet while we waited for our food. A good 30 minutes went by.... and we never saw our server again after she brought our drinks... and we didn’t received our food. We asked the table next to us how long they had been waiting.... and they said they overheard another table say that our server walked out. I hate that for her.... She seemed very kind when she took our food order and brought our drinks. I know things happen and life happens- but shame on this restaurant for not checking on any of her tables after this happened. We literally sat another 15 minutes (we’re approaching an hour now)... before I went and spoke to the bartender. He said he would check on our order... and he came to our table about 10 minutes later to tell us it was “coming up soon.... And refilled our drinks. We were polite and appreciative of the communication. After another 15 minutes- our kids were melting down... hungry and antsy. We just left before ever receiving our food. We tried to pay for our 3 sodas but couldn’t even find anyone to take care of this for us. Sooo.... all that to say. Life happens. Things happen. Totally get it- Just communicate with your patronage and be respectful of your guests! We will definitely not...
