the store was clean, the staff didn’t really interact much, especially the cashier, he didn’t really say anything to me and my husband, if anything he seemed a bit annoyed, my biggest disappointment though was when i realized the photo on the candy bags was AI generated (i realized this after leaving unfortunately) and they’re also selling stuffed animals based off of AI generated characters. i understand that their main audience is children, but the impacts of generative AI are still very very bad and i was disappointed so see that they were supporting/using it. i know this issue isn’t important to everyone, but it is important to me. i love this area and have visited often throughout my whole life but i dont think i would want to come back here unless they changed their use of AI.

EDIT- in response to the reply, thank you for taking the time to read my review and respond to it! i appreciate businesses that do so!! although i didn’t expect a response like this. my intentions were not malicious. my intention was to express what my perception was of my experience. i remember replying to the cashier, but i apologize if i was soft spoken as i am very very shy. despite this i typically try to make an effort to talk to and be kind to staff in any business as i know that many people are horribly rude to customer service workers (i’ve been there!:( )experiences will differ with everyone. i never want to be insulting or rude to anyone, my review just reflects what i felt. the stuffies im referring to were mostly suction cupped to the windows, they are based on AI characters. i promise i would not mention that for no reason. i will apologize for not including what was good!! the variety of candy was great and the store was VERY clean and organized. i don’t expect you (whoever is reading this/other staff) to agree with my opinions, but please understand that being unkind is never EVER my intention. i hope whoever is reading this/all the staff have a great day that the business continues to grow and progress. :)

What a fun experience at the wharf. The jelly bean counter surface was my favorite. The bins of candy I have never seen before were too cool. Walk around and look at the huge selection. Like the chubby gummies and the bright space looking jaw breakers. The chocolate selection was huge. The shape and the shine of the chocolates were perfection. The toys were highly desirable. Watch out. The dumbo and the French bulldog were so cute. This place is new as I added it to Google maps and it seems to still be unpacking. The huge candy statues and tables and props outside are perfect for pics and my kids loved the minions. The pink bear chair is fantasy filled and my daughter liked her photo ops. The price for candy is higher than expected but I’m sure rent is crazy. Don’t go crazy without knowing the weight and price. This place had a huge selection of old school candy like charms candies.
