Tuskers Home Store in Mirimar Beach Fl is the worst place to buy furniture from. Once they have your money, they do not care about the defective furniture you purchased in good faith, including honoring warranty, a replacement or a refund. Purchased chairs in March 2017 and as of December 2017, nothing has been done by Tuskers to make good these defective chairs that were delivered in poor condition. Cushions will not remain in position, one chair has frame problem with hole in fabric and one chair has defective mechanism. These are all issues that were not detected at delivery, only in the coming days with normal use, yet Tuskers is standing by their policy that the chairs were signed for in good condition. After months of getting nowhere with this crooked business including many broken promises, I have been forced to file a dispute with my credit card company to resolve. It is my opinion that Tuskers is running out the clock on the warranty and never intended to do anything. Worst customer service. Inferior over priced furniture. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere unless you are willing to risk being the victim on the receiving end of a purchase made in good faith. Update** Tuskers response to my review is inaccurate and untruthful. The chairs had issues from delivery but I felt like I would have to live with quality. But less than 2 months after delivery I noticed the hole in fabric in an area untouched by use. That's when I called and their employee Jessica offered to replace chairs and had me come in to select in her words a better quality chair, which I did. I never originally asked for this but thought that was really nice. When several months passed and still no replacement chairs, I then got the run around everytime I called. From June to Sept, I waited. At that point, I just wanted a refund but still was not offered repairs. I was never offered any explanation as to why the replacement chairs were not provided. Someone always said they would get back to me, no one here today to help with that, they would check for me, etc and other excuses. That's when I reported to my credit card company. They investigated and only because I signed for chairs in good condition and there was a no refund policy, they could not reverse charge. This decision was made in November and Tuskers told them the same story throughout investigation , that I had refused warranty and that they would be happy to pick up for repair, which was untruthful. It was only in late December that Tuskers finally made arrangements with me to pick up the chairs for repair after much pressure from me, inquiries/ resolution from credit card company and being reported to BBB. In every response to credit card company and BBB, they were untruthful. They were picked up in January, almost a full year after original purchase and much aggravation. I never once during the entire time refuse warranty repairs, they were never extended to me. The chairs were returned to me "repaired" after some time, but specific issues were not addressed and only the hole was repaired. The chairs were not reupholstered as store indicates. Furthermore, I bought a sectional sofa the same day I bought these chairs and it had to have a defective cushion replaced although I reported it the day of delivery. I was a returning customer over the years, spending several thousand dollars, but apparently that wasn't enough for Tuskers to stand by the products they sell or customer service after you leave the store. Buyer beware is my honest advice to anyone doing business with Tuskers. I do not wish my experience on anyone. Read moreWe purchased a very expensive foam mattress at Tuskers Furniture in Destin, Florida. According to the saleswoman, the manager, and the sales receipt, it came with 2 matching pillows. It was scheduled for delivery the following week. Well, the following week came and went with no phone call and no delivery. This alone is very unprofessional. When we called the next week after that, we were told that they were sorry that they had "forgotten" about our order and would have it delivered the next day. We found it interesting that they forgot about our order but didn't have any trouble taking our money two weeks earlier. How do transactions like that appear in their bookkeeping records? The manager, himself, brought the mattress out the next day, but no pillows. He told us that they couldn't find any of the pillows in their warehouse and would bring them to us later. To legally protect ourselves, we wrote this discrepancy on the delivery sheet that we signed. Two more weeks went by with no communication from Tuskers. We called again this morning and were told that they couldn't get any more of the pillows...so we wouldn't be receiving any. We then asked for a refund of the value of the pillows that was stated on the sales receipt. The manager refused. We then told the manager that we didn't want the mattress and would like to return it for a full refund. He told us that there was no warranty with the mattress, that it couldn't be returned, and he hung up the telephone on us. The layout is well designed and attractively displays the furniture offered for sale. The space is used efficiently and laid in out a way shoppers can find furniture to fit their taste and their budget.
Despite what some politicians say, the supply chain problems have not been solved as of this writing. The store has adapted its ordering process and problems may be less severe than they were last year but they still exist. In purchasing a sofa with an attached chaise lounge, we selected a set that had already been ordered several months ago. It is scheduled to arrive in a few days. Ordering larger quantities of more popular furniture lines has helped meet customer demand for the more popular items, apparently.
Our salesperson, Carol, was very accommodating and easy to work with and kept us advised of any changes for our order and the status of other items we were considering.
