Went into this place looking for the next great pizza franchise to invest in (that's what I do, I also have a great brand in the area we are currently developing which is why I'm in the area again).
Had really high hopes, the brand itself is a 10 star. Great branding! The interior space is also awesome and would do well in any market if the rest was put back on track. I rated the atmosphere a 2/5 not because the inside wasn't great, clean etc. but because the service just made the vibe/feel of the restaurant very unfriendly.
The service got a resounding 1 star as seems to be the trend for this brand unfortunately. We came in about 60 minutes to close, plenty of time for a pizza place and we got out well before closing, probably 20 minutes before, but were glared at like the enemy when we walked in, not greeted at all, just kind of stared at until we ordered. Once I left a fat tip, the attitudes changed a bit but I wouldn't say friendly was a good description even after the tip. More like, a little more accepting of our presence in their restaurant.
Food itself was probably a 2 or 3 out of 5. The cheeses and crust on the thick crust are both good, cheese was obviously well sourced and probably aged. There was a complete lack of sauce and the sauce that was there was pretty flavorless.
Overall the brand has good bones but needs a cultural retrain but based on some of the responses the ownership has given to some of their reviews, I think it's a top down problem. Basically the attitude seems to be "hey, if you don't like how you got treated, go somewhere else."
That's unfortunate as this brand has the bones to be the next quarter billion dollar brand with the right leadership and recipe adjustments. The recipe adjustments are minor and can be easily fixed with the help of a strong Exec Chef. The cultural problems I'm not so sure. That starts from the top down and if the owners don't want it, it will never materialize.
I hope this feedback helps and isn't just disregarded. You have the makings of a brand that can go far. You'll only be limited by your commitment to quality in both the food and the service...
Read moreAfter dining with my family, we found everything to be okay/meh. It is designed like a tijuana flats but for pizza. So you order at the counter, fill your drinks, pick a table, and they bring your food. Ambiance is nice, very outgoing and erratic. We ordered a large spread including the following: BBQ nachos, fried ravioli, tamales, two side salads, 10 mild wings, and a large thin crust Kujo (supreme) pizza. The BBQ nachos were good. Fried ravioli were the same exact thing you would find at an olive garden. Side salads were poor quality and didn't look appetizing. It's also a bit odd to serve a dill pickle with a casear or garden salad. The tamales were delicious and would be my number one reason to return. The wings were pretty good, but nothing you couldn't find elsewhere. The pizza was really disappointing. For $24, it didn't have a lot of flavor and the crust was very rubbery. It is honestly most similar to a pizza you would find on a Cici's buffet, but with more toppings. You could get an excellent coal-Brick oven pizza for the same price at Grimaldi's or Pazzo, which are both right down the street in either direction. Or even a better conveyor oven pizza at Romeos, Buffalo Jacks, or another chain at a cheaper price. I also just noticed now that the prices on the menu do not reflect the prices in store, even though the menu online is specified for Miramar beach. The pizza was $3 more, the raviolis $1.50 more. Who knows what else was misleadingly priced. We brought home a medium Hot Chick pizza for a family member when we were done eating and he liked it alright. Overall, come for the tamales, then pick up a way better pizza down the street. Missisipi must have very low standards for what they...
Read moreVisiting from out of town, after a long road trip to arrive we ordered 2 pizzas, cheese sticks and 4 drinks. Food arrived on time, one of the pizzas was wrong though… I think it was user error on my end as the website didn’t save my preference cause one pizza was suppose to be pepperoni. I called to notify them that the driver forgot my drinks at first they tried telling me I didn’t order drinks. I told them I had the emailed receipt and suddenly they found my order. They claimed the printed order didn’t print all the way. I said okay well I will go ahead and order another pizza as I messed up my order with the wrong topping if he could send the driver with my drinks. I’m then informed I would need to come pick up my order as they can’t take delivery orders over the phone. Your people didn’t deliver part of my order, I was still willing to spend more money with you even though you forgot part of my order and instead of making it right you want to force your customer to come pick up the forgotten items. I wouldn’t recommend… food was okay but nothing special. They use door dash for delivery of their food as well. I travel a lot of places not once have I ever been asked to come and pick up my forgotten items that I paid for. If I wanted to save myself the money I would have picked my order up from the beginning. Instead I paid the $7.00 delivery fee, paid 20% tip on a $63.00 order. And was out the $10 I spent on 4 drinks. Not including what I ended up having to go and get from the vending machine because we didn’t even have cups in...
