Destin Platinum LLC — Hotel in Miramar Beach

This hotel is listed as evoke hotel on expidea my stay was definitely a let down considering what was advertised the room was dirty upon entry there was trash and sugar possibly sand either way it was on the floor the only personal care items left were 1 hotel shampoo and 1 hotel size bottle of body lotion and 2 full sized towels which I found strange considering I booked the room with the expectation of 5 guest when I went to the front desk I asked for more and the response was did you need them now? (From a Hispanic women with glasses) the next morning I decided to make a cup of coffee from the conplemenrty set in the room when I noticed there was only a single packet of pink sugar left again I went to the front desk to ask for creamer and regular sugar which haf the front desk people puzzled they then radioed to another employee to bring me 2 packets which to my surprise was a kit that contained a single pink sugar white sugar and creamer along with a stirring stick and napkin which gave me the impression that the sugar that was already in the room was left from the previous guest after a great day at the beach we returned for a shower when we needed towels yet again when my husband went to the front desk to ask the he was questioned about the usage all the while they had a sign stating they would accommodate request for toiletries he even asked for soap and was meet with the answer that all toiletries where only available upon request I know we didn't book a 5 star hotel but I wasn't under the impression that this was that low on the totem pole on expida it is advertised to include a breakfast bar which was met with the answer of they were under new management and the decision to offer it hadn't been decided yet I understand there is a 50$ deposit for holding I did not understand the additional 30$ I was being charged for the stay the employee who checked us in request my personal expida page to make sure they had everything correct and to my surprise the price was never mentioned when I received my payment alert I was confused for there to be a following charge for the 50$ deposit when questioned they said they'd get back to me at check out when it came time to check out all that was said was that management would contact me aside from that my time in Miramar was amazing and I look forward to my next visit but it will...

I flew to Destin, Florida to celebrate my wedding anniversary. Due to the weather my flight was delayed and ended up arriving around 1:30 AM on a Saturday morning. We also had some trouble finding a taxi to take us to the Evoke Destin hotel at that time and finally got to the hotel around 3:15 AM. Two hotel employees opened the reception door for us and informed us that there were no rooms available for us to stay in due to an overbooking problem created by the hotel management themselves. I made a reservation and paid a deposit directly through the Evoke Destin hotel two weeks in advance, but that was not enough for the hotel management to make sure we had a room for our stay. The hotel employees were not helpful at all, offered no help and left us out of the hotel saying the manager was not there and there was nothing they could do to help us. It was now 3:30 AM, my wife and I with no lodging and no transportation (no taxis or Uber available at that time) on a rainy night on our wedding anniversary day. You can imagine how this situation affected our entire vacation. We ended up finding a hotel that was a 20-minute walk away from the Evoke Destin hotel and we had to walk with suitcase in the dark for 20 minutes at 4:00 AM. I stayed at The Evoke while visiting Miramar Beach and had a wonderful stay! The hotel has a beautiful beach house theme all around and the staff was very accommodating & helpful with local recommendations.
