The Village Market — Local services in Moab

I recently visited this grocery store and had an overall good experience, though there were a couple of issues worth mentioning.

On the plus side, the store offers a great selection of sushi, which was a nice surprise, and their organic product range was impressive. It’s definitely a great spot for those looking to shop for healthy options.

However, I did have an unpleasant experience at the billing counter at evening. The staff seemed a bit careless and even slided away the sushi we had purchased, which was disappointing. Additionally, their demeanor was rude and not very customer-friendly. I’m not sure if they were just having a bad day but I do hope they can be more mindful and courteous in the future.

LOCAL: I went in today to get groceries and the cashier told me that the bags were over there. She nodded her head over to the side of the cashier station, where the bags were open at the end of the belt. I had no idea that I needed to bag my own items, which I had no problem doing. The way that she went about it was rude and disrespectful. I’ll deal with the crowds at the other grocery store, because I’ve never had this happen there and their employees have always been nice. As a local, I shop at Village Market at times to avoid the crowds at other places, but I’ll just deal with the crowds to avoid rude cashiers. Plus, Village Market prices are just insane. You can just skip this market. We bought 2 cans of beers (different brand) out of the pack of 4. Every market that we have been to have no problem with that. But they charged us price of the pack of 4 for each and didn't let us know we must buy a pack of 4! We only realized it when we got back to campground.

The next day when we got back to the market, they insist that they can only sell a pack of 4. Then the manager proceed to find the two remaining packs. They found one pack of 3 but the other one pack of 3. They don't even bother to just offer us a refund or give us a pack of 3 of the other one if they can't even find the pack that we took out of.
