If you are looking for a gym home, you should strongly consider Mission Fitness. I was a group fitness instructor from its opening day, and worked there for six years. I was incredibly sad to leave when we moved out of state for my husband’s job. I look back on my time there with such fondness. The friendships and memories I made there are ones I treasure to this day.

These are the reasons I believe Mission Fitness is an incredible studio that you should strongly consider joining:

The Methods: At Mission Fitness, you can find rowing, cycling, Bosu, TRX, barre, yoga, pilates, pilates reformers, circuits, and weightlifting under one roof for $150 a month (or less if you catch one of their awesome membership specials). Comparable studios in the area offer only a single method for much higher prices—JUST pilates, JUST barre, or JUST yoga for nearly $200+ per month! Mission is an incredible value. There is something for everyBODY at Mission. Mission’s class concepts are uniquely theirs and something you will not find anywhere else. If you can’t commit to a monthly membership, look into class pack options that work for your schedule and budget!

The Community: What makes Mission Fitness MOST special is the community it provides. This was my happy place where I could cast off the icky parts of my day, slip out of my mask that I wear for the world and be my most authentic self. The workouts are killer, but the relationships forged within its walls are first and foremost. The members and instructors are some of the most loving, hilarious, wild, colorful, and welcoming humans I've ever met. These are the people that get me through life's ups and downs. I still keep in contact with my Mission Family from afar!

The Facility: Mission Fitness is the most beautiful studio. To call it a "gym" feels insulting. Walking into Mission makes you feel like you have stepped into a high-end boutique studio that can only be found in much larger cities. It's bright, clean, decorated with beautiful art, and smells AMAZING. I'm quite sure these attributes are not regularly used to describe most gyms.

The Equipment: Mission’s equipment is top-of-the-line. Each piece of workout equipment has been selected and curated based on its quality and aesthetics. There is a wide variety of equipment at your disposal: water rowers, reformers, TRX straps, Bosu trainers, kettlebells, dumbbells, gliders, resistance bands, yoga blocks, foam rollers, ropes, slam balls--you name it! Equipment is frequently sanitized and well-maintained. They have recently added a TV in the studio for streaming classes from the digital library during open gym! Virtual classes are available for members to stream from their devices anywhere!

The Leadership: Mission’s owner and my dear friend, Alison Jones, pours into her staff. She has flown in fitness legends and master trainers to provide the best training to her instructors in an intimate setting at the studio. The instruction these master trainers provide is of the highest caliber in the fitness industry. In fact, Alison often does this on her own dollar so her employees do not have to foot the bill for their certifications. This is not common practice in studios. Also, huge shoutout to Alison for being selected as a LULULEMON Ambassador for her excellence in fitness and her community impact!

The Childcare: Childcare is included with your membership! Also, your children will beg to go to Mission's childcare because our fabulous childcare staff actually play and interact with your kids. My own children have taken part in dress-up fashion shows, crafts, kid's yoga, and dance parties while in the nursery.

The Parties and Philanthropy: Mission members work out hard and party harder! And it's always for charity or a friendly competition. Mission is just a phenomenal place! The staff and members are so positive and supportive of each other. The classes and methods are unique. They have Pilates reformers, water rowers and bikes - with fusion style classes that sometimes incorporate all three! If you've never been on a Pilates reformer, here's your chance for something new, different and challenging to add to your health and fitness journey. Mission also offers complimentary child care during many of their classes. The child care team is outstanding and they love the babies and kiddos so much! You can feel really confident leaving your little one with them during your class. Mission is always sparkly clean and all the equipment is top notch! Open gym is part of the package - and if you're not sure what to do on your own, they always have suggested work-outs posted in the studio. They also offer personal training and semi-private training, so if you want some one-on-one attention, or to be in a small group, you're all set at Mission! If you are tentative about getting started, this is your place! You will be welcomed by everyone. I've made some really great friends there!
