Okay, so I do live here currently. If you have active children this is not the place for you. My gradddaughter lives with me. She is a happy, energetic 2 year old. She loves to run, jump, play and of course throw temper tantrums when she doesn't get her way. We can't do anything without the neighbors complaining to the office. For every complaint there is no dialogue as to what happened, is it true, or anything. The office just goes by whatever the complaint is. If my granddaughter is playing, jumping or just plain being a kid I get a call from the office. "There is too much noise from your apartment". If she is outside and cries, the office calls. If she cries because she doesn't want to go to bed, the office calls. Now to be fair my granddaughter does have a good set of lungs, but short of putting a gag in her mouth and chaining her to a chair, she's a typical 2 year old. Is it our fault that the walls are thin, as well as the floors? So, we are now being evicted. Now I can start on the actual apartment - the dishwasher doesn't clean the dishes. I've reported it several times, each time they say there is nothing wrong with it. Now it would work half way decent if I only loaded it with a few dishes and not a full load. The air conditioner goes out routinely. I guess maintenance got tired of coming so they showed us how to get to work again. The staff especially the head manager is difficult to talk to and doesn't really care to hear what you have to say. I pay my rent on time every month and we keep to ourselves. Our next door neighbor has loud arguments and fights and slams doors and cabinets - we don't complain. The people below us has loud get togethers or parties - we don't complain. My daughter can hear the next door neighbors alarm going off every morning - which wakes her up too - we don't complain. To me this is life and part of living in an apartment. Now, when my daughter was getting the sh!# beat out of her by her boyfriend out in the parking lot at 3AM, and was trying to get away, honking the horn, flashing the lights on her car and screaming not one person helped or called the police. Then the security wouldn't come down and check on her when I was out of town and was concerned that the ex-boyfriend (then) was here - I called and heard arguing. I was worried about my daughter and my granddaughter, all they had to do was make sure she was okay or call the police if he was there. But no, no one cared. Instead they complain if my daughter is out in the parking lot moving furniture on an extremely hot day and fanning her shirt (no, nothing was ever exposed). They see more watching females walk to the pool in their bikinis. Now if it's just you and no kids, with no life or you're an elderly person...this is the perfect place for you. Just don't expect anything from management or...
Read moreProperty manager was very rude and unprofessional over the phone to my roommate and myself on more than one occasion. There were significant and expensive inconsistencies with documentation on a carpet replacement we had to have the week we moved in because the whole apartment absolutely reeked of cat urine from the previous tenant. Keep in mind, with the fresh paint on the walls- the smell of the carpet took a day or so for us to notice and was inconveniently enough, after we had moved in all of our furniture. After a few days of unreturned phone calls from the property manager, another lady from the office came in and said she did smell it and apologized. When we got word that they would replace the carpet for us, we had nowhere to put the furniture that we had already moved into the apartment. Since the urine smell was noticeably worse in living/dining area, we moved the furniture (ourselves) into the remaining floor space of the 3 bedrooms our apartment had and were going to live with the stains in those rooms for the year we occupied our lease. Now upon moveout, we are being billed over $1000 for "damages- occupied carpet replacement at move in". During my conversation addressing my concerns with the manager, she explained to me that two bedrooms need new carpet for damages and stains (that were there when we moved in) and was unapologetic and rude when I told her that was the condition they were in before and that none of the bedrooms had new carpet installed when this was dealt with the first time. She rudely insisted that at least one of the bedrooms had the carpet replaced because "she paid for it so it was changed" and then hung up on me. The new carpet they put down was even a different color.
Had they done a proper walk through and changed the carpet from the previous tenant before we moved in, none of this would be an issue today. I'll do one better; Even if they did a walk through after the old carpet from the living room was replaced, this wouldnt be an issue.
The only reason I am writing this review is because the manager refused to listen to our side, interrupted me while I was speaking to her, and continuously had an attitude over the phone before hanging up on me.
Will never reccomend this community to a...
Read moreThe setup of the apartment is decent, but there have been numerous problems ever since move-in over the summer. When I moved in around July, there were no problems. It wasn't until August or September that a problem with fruit flies popped up. At any given moment, there were 50 to 75 fruit flies roaming around the apartment, and it's not because the place was messy. We keep it very clean. We had their pest control people come by multiple times, and all he did was spray something that didn't work and give me some weird 'trick' that was supposed to fix it. I had to find a different way to get rid of them, but it is gone for now.
Management changed around October or November, and right around then, more problems started coming. The main issue is with their main office, which never seems to be open. There are no listed hours anywhere, and their doors are locked all the time. This has been really frustrating when I have to pick up packages, because I can't go in at a normal business hour to get them. Just today, a package arrived, and when my girlfriend when to pick it up at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Friday, it was locked.
The breakers in the apartment are constantly switching on and off on their own. The microwave handle broke within the first couple days of being there, and nobody has fixed it still. The hot water has gone off multiple times, the drain in the shower has been clogged since move-in, and the garbage disposal leaked for about a week before anyone came to fix it. Basically, lots of problems, and it takes a lot to get any change. If they did a better job maintaining the complex and making sure their office is open and staffed, it would be...
