Up N Smoke - Vape Shop — Local services in Mobile

This was such an off-putting experience. I barely got my foot in the door before the store clerk showed his aggravation about having a customer walk in. I was able to walk two feet into the store and look around for about 5 seconds before he he rushed me wanting to know what I was looking for. When I said "vape pen" he simply responded with a price. I said, "ok... Can I see it?" while still walking to the counter. He said "yeah 🙄 we have this one then we have one for this much money." so I asked to look at them and he slung them down on the counter. I made a quick pick so I could purchase it and get the heck out of there. I didn't have a chance to ask him if it would fit what I already have or if there was anything I needed to know about it. About 4 minutes passed between the time I entered the store and the time I exited. I didn't even stop to look at any of the other merchandise because I was so ready to get out of there from feeling like I was being a burden on the store clerk. I visited this store for convenience, not because it was recommended to me. And I guarantee you, not only will I not be going back, but my recommendations will be for anyone and everyone to go literally anywhere other...

Great store overall. Stays open a few hours later than Vapors smoke shop which is really awesome because when its late at night and you really need something that night, you won't be completed screwed. Vapors closes at 9pm every night no exceptions I believe, but Up N Smoke stays open past 12am. The selection of items is larger at Up N Smoke compared to Vapors and prices are on average lower than Vapors for the same brands. Most of the glass sold at this store is "china glass" just like Vapors, only the prices are much better here. Up N Smoke also has a vape bar now where you can hang out and vape e-cigarettes as late as they stay open. Overall, this store beats Vapors smoke shop in every way from selection to prices. The only thing that Vapors is really useful for is American handblown glass. Up N Smoke has a very small selection of american blown glass so this is the reason I gave them a 4 star instead of 5. However they clearly are in the process of improving their business and I would bet that soon they will have a glass selection rivaling Vapors. Been coming to this shop for the last 2 years! Always such a great vibe whenever I’ve come in. It doesn’t matter if I come in at 10 am or 10 pm I’m always greeted with a smile. I seem to always catch Dustin when he is working and he is absolutely the best! Always helpful with whatever I come in for. Doesn’t mind taking time to show me things behind the counter or in the glass shelves. Or explain stuff to me I’m not knowledgeable on.
