I cannot say thank you enough to Taylor, Ms. Pat, Carina, Lacey, & all of the other wonderfully kind women (I am sorry I did not write all your names down, you are all so sweet) I met at the David's Bridal in Monroeville when looking to purchase my wedding dress.They made my lackluster experience at another David's Bridal in the Pittsburgh area pale in comparison to the warm, glimmering welcome they gave me and my family when I arrived for my appointment, and made me wish I had just began my search for the dress there in the first place. (What a beautiful store, I was in awe of all the dresses available, and not even just the wedding dresses! They have so many gorgeous gowns, I regret not taking the time to try more on while I was there.) I came to Monroeville after calling to see if, by any chance, they had my dream dress in stock in my size, instead of having to pay the other store more to order the correct size, rush alterations for my May wedding, etc. Lo and behold, they did. It was even on sale, and they would be having an event in two days with more applicable discounts. They said they would hold onto it for me. Ms. Pat was so gracious and assuring on the phone, I was so grateful to have reached her. I made my appointment, and that was that. I could stop feeling so stressed about it, and let myself dream a little.

As a woman who never dreamt of a wedding growing up, but who knows what she likes in a dress, I felt supported. My experience here made me feel like an excited, beautiful bride, and I even felt like I made a friend. Taylor helped me find the finishing touches to go along with my dress, and was very encouraging of my desire to feel comfortable while still looking elegant on my wedding day. When I put my dress on again, Taylor pointed to all of the things I love about the dress too, without me having said very much at all. I felt so understood and heard. She found me a veil that still had all the details I had loved on a more expensive cathedral veil, but in a shorter veil that did not detract so much from my already extravagantly detailed gown. She made me feel better about the decisions I made for financial practicality, and in the end I used money I would have spent on an excessively long, decadent veil that I may only get to wear for a very short time on the comfiest, pearl bedazzled Betsey Johnson tennis shoes that fit the theme of my wedding day (Google: 143 Day), and the feeling I want for the beginning of my marriage to a person who makes me feel so immediately comfortable and at-home, much better than any of the heels I had planned on before this visit. I cannot wait for our wedding day now, and I will always remember the kindness of the women at this David's Bridal.

Update for Alterations: 5 stars!

Darlene & Dorothy have somehow made my dress even more beautiful than it already was to me!! 💕🌸 Darlene worked expertly fast and was great to talk to at my initial alterations appointment. My dress was done in less than a month. I was so excited to put it on when it was brought out to me and hung in the dressing room. At first it was ever so slightly too long and I was afraid because my wedding is in 10 days, but Dorothy trimmed it right then and there. It sits perfectly now on my 5 foot nothing frame, and I did not want to climb back out of it. I stood marveling at it for awhile, why the kind women here...

My experience the day of saying yes to my dress was amazing! My consultant Tammy was absolutely wonderful. Everyone was so nice and helpful, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience dress shopping. Which for me dress shopping is a whole task in itself. I wish I could give this place a 5 star review, but the dissatisfaction happened when we picked my dress up. I tried the dress on and it didn’t even look like the same dress. The one I tried on the day I said yes to it was a size to small. So whenever they put it on me they said it was a cute “off the shoulder number”. The day I tried on the dress in the correct size the straps came up completely over my shoulders like tank top straps. I just wanted to cry. The dress didn’t lay anything like it did when I tried the to small dress on. The dress didn’t look the same way it did when trying on the to small dress. I just absolutely hated it on me. I’m sorry but the consultants should know the dresses and be able to tell you exactly how the dress is actually going to look in the correct size. I am super disappointed and I do not like how the correct size looks on me at all. I honestly want to look for a whole new dress at this point 😕 Update: The manager read my review and called me. She wanted me to come in and see if we could fix the dress to look how it did the day I tried it on. Alterations agreed that they did not feel comfortable doing that major alteration. Which I was very happy that they didn’t try to do anything that they were not comfortable with. So Annie helped me this second time to pick out a new dress. 2 hours later and probably 15-20 dresses later we finally found the REAL ONE 😍 I was very impressed with how wonderful these ladies were. They were bound and determined to get a new dress that I would love every time I put it on. Just with the customer service experience the second time around I give them a 5 star review. Anyone who is willing to admit to their mistake and does whatever they can to make it better...

Update to this review: Although the buying experience was great here, apparently I was lied to about returns......I had been told on the fourth of March when I bought this dress, that I had 30 days to return it if I needed to. This was told to me by my salesperson in front of at least 3 other David's Bridal employees. 2 of whom were experienced bridal consultants and never said a word correcting the misinformation I had jlreceived. When I went to return the.dress today (March 30), I was informed that in fact I only had 7 days to return it and that I could only exchange for up to 60 days. They would not even issue a store credit. I would have to exchange the dress for other merchandise on the same day. I have to admit, it was written on my receipt, however, I never even looked at it being as I specifically asked the question at the time of purchase! Buyer beware..... they lie to you at this store. I'm dropping my review to 1 star.

Abigail was amazing. She took great care in listening to my likes and dislikes and chose garments accordingly. I truly could not have had a better experience shopping for a mother of the bride dress. Thank you , thank you to whomever hired her and pointed her in my direction! She promised to be my best friend for the day and she really was!
