Torrid — Local services in Montebello

This was my go-to store for 5+ years. Up until an associate I’ve never seen before (my guess is she’s newish), has given me attitude when I’m checking out or asking her for a fitting room. Amarissa. I walk in and she doesn’t greet. Everyone else has. I asked for a dressing room, she acted like she didn’t hear me when I was right next to the register. So I walked away and asked another employee. Upon checkout, Amarissa was the one to assist me. All she starts off with was, your phone number for rewards. Easy, I give it to her. She scans my items. Tells me my total. I knew torrid cash is a thing right now and literally ends today. So she gives me my total. And I asked, if I had rewards if she could tell me, and she gives me a blank stare and goes, mmm no. So I asked if I could add something else to add a torrid cash and she simply replied with, I already added it. I was checking in the pin pad that I definitely could’ve added $5 for another torrid cash so I asked and she replied with the same thing. I already added it. So this was already irritating me. So she goes, cash or card. I was calling over my mother to give my cash. And she goes, cash or card? Louder. As I gave her the cash she didn’t say ANYTHING after that. Not even a thank you or have a nice day. This is not my first rude encounter with her but at least my 4th. Never has this happened before here. She could try to be a little nicer. I just left Torrid at Montebello Town Center and I am not walking into this store again. I got the generic greeting when I walked in, looked around for a bit. No help to be found. All girls talking at the front together. One finally came when I went towards the fitting room. I was going to buy a shirt and tights and when I walked out to pay and ask if clearance is final sale, the rep came quickly and blocked my path and said yes final sale i said "okay, hmm I'm not sure because I didnt like how they fit too much." The female associate just stood there staring at me, and I walked back to see if I found a smaller size and she followed me and stood by me waiting like if I am trying to steal. WTH? I almost threw it to the floor and asked whats your problem.

Nice digs. WAY OVERPRICED, however. $32.99 for a simple gray t-shirt with a small, simple design (red, white & blue lips for 4th of July) is outrageous! I don't mind spending extra for quality, unique, or specially-crafted items, but there was nothing special about this - nor any of the t-shirts that are all priced at $32.99. No sequins, no glitter, no embroidery, nothing at all to justify this price. Just a basic silk screen print. After being disgusted by the price gouging at this store, I went to Amazon and found the same shirt...
