Extremely Unprofessional, Rushed, and Disrespectful Experience: I had an extremely disappointing and distressing experience at this nail salon. I visited for a manicure and pedicure, expecting a relaxing and rejuvenating service on what was a very special day for me. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, disrespected, and honestly appalled at the level of service and behavior from the staff; particularly the technician who handled my services. The appointment began with a pedicure. Right from the start, there was no attention to detail or basic customer courtesy. I was never offered a shade card to select my polish. The technician chose a random color on her own and started applying it. When I pointed it out, she wiped it off carelessly and tried to "fix" it without a proper redo. The pedicure itself lacked basic elements like exfoliation, scrubbing, or proper cleaning. It was nothing more than a quick rinse of my feet in soap water. The technician seemed visibly agitated and gave off an unfriendly, impatient vibe throughout the process. It felt more like a task she was forced to complete than a service she was being paid for. I was then rushed over to the manicure station without even a moment to gather myself. The manicure was done in under 8 minutes completely rushed and poorly executed. When I calmly questioned why she was rushing, she aggressively snapped back, saying she had “already lost two clients because of you.” That statement was not only inappropriate but also deeply insulting I never demanded special treatment, nor did I delay her in any way. Upon completion, I told the gentleman at the front desk that I was unhappy with the services and that the quality of work didn’t meet basic standards. He took one look at my nails and immediately agreed that the work was subpar. Before I could even discuss a solution, the technician stormed to the counter, yelling, “YOU HAVE TO PAY FULL AMOUNT.” Let me make this very clear, I never asked for a discount or implied I wouldn’t pay. I simply voiced dissatisfaction as any customer is entitled to do. Her aggressive and confrontational behavior made me extremely uncomfortable. She continued to argue loudly in front of other customers. Another staff member stepped in and kindly offered to fix the job the following day, acknowledging that I had not been treated well. However, the technician (who I suspect is the owner, possibly the “Andy” mentioned in other reviews) immediately shut him down, threatening to fire him if he helped me. I was completely stunned by this hostile and toxic environment. This was by far one of the most unprofessional experiences I have ever had at any service-based establishment. The service was rushed and incomplete, the technician was hostile, intimidating, and unprofessional, and the overall environment lacked any sense of customer respect or hospitality. If you’re considering this salon, I highly recommend reading the low-rated reviews first, as they paint a much more accurate picture than the curated 5-star ones. I’ve also attached a photo of my nails post-service so you can see the quality for yourself. Customer satisfaction and respectful communication are basic expectations, and this salon failed on all fronts.

In my fun search of checking out the different nail salons, I visited NJ Perfect Nails the other week for a dip powder manicure. I didn’t have an appointment, so there was a brief 20 minute wait. First impression of the salon was it was very clean and pleasant atmosphere. Some of the clients there were clearly regulars, and had a nice rapport with the nail techs. My manicurist was Ingrid, who was very sweet. Mind you, I’m shy and don’t talk very much when I first meet someone, so our main exchanges were just smiles. But I felt relaxed with her. Ingrid took her time and did a very thorough job on my nails, which included cleaning / trimming the cuticle. She made sure the nails were neatly done and no residual color on my skin. The only minus I will mention, is when my cuticles were cleaned up, she cut them dry, which is not very comfortable. I would have preferred if she added moisture (water, cuticle oil or lotion). That being stated, the rest of the manicure was perfect. She is one I would return to. It’s been about two weeks since my visit and my nails are still looking good.

We went as a last minute thing to do, me and my nieces. We loved the service. Especially the nail artists were very patient. They got the kids done in 10 minutes and they were very patient with them. I got my nails done here for the first time. I am only visiting NJ but i am in love with this nail salon. The nail artist did my nails in 15 minutes, which is very good since i had a 2 year and 6 year old with me. I cannot stop saying how amazing the staff was. I will be coming again whenever i come to NJ.

Based on other reviews, our experience sounds like the exception. Regardless, it was very frustrating and we will not go back. My daughter wanted a gel manicure. She had a pattern that she showed the nail technician. The technician confirmed that she could do it. After she was almost done, my daughter looked and realized that it was quite different from what she had shown her. She beckoned me over, almost in tears (she’s 12). I asked to confirm what pattern the technician was doing. It was only then that she told us that my daughter’s nails were too short for the pattern she had selected. While I understand that, it would have been good to tell us this upfront so we could have chosen a different pattern. What she ended up doing was so simple and unspectacular - definitely not the look my daughter was going for! The manicure lasted a couple of days and since then we have been trying to get the gel...
