Last week on Wednesday I did the takeout, I had called in afternoon around 12:30 pm est & ordered items for takeout during dinner time around 6:30 pm est & had clearly mentioned that I donot want color in food. I wanted to order Malai Kofta, but the lady says she has gravy but no koftas. Had ordered Chilli Paneer dry for appetizer, Paneer tikka masala, Paneer makhani, Dal Tadka, Veg Biryani, & Garlic Naan. When I went to pickup, I offered to pay by credit card but lady said she doesn't have machine & that i can pay via. cash or zelle. I wasn't given the invoice. Despite of asking food without color, I was given color in Chilli Paneer & gravy instead of dry Chilli Paneer. Also, Veg Biryani was smelling stale. I called them about it & said that I will return these 2 items, instead lady said to return all items. So, I got all items re-packed & was about to start my car & got a call from PJ (he identifies as restaurant's accountant, I asked his name but he wouldn't give his name) he says if we had eaten even single spoon from the food then we can't return the food & have to make full payment. I said that without tasting the food, how would I know in how is the food. I told him if you don't refund for stale item then I will have to approach court, then he says ok then you can pay $56.71 including sales tax, for remaining items & you can throw Veg Biryani & Chilli Paneer in trash. I texted him to send me the receipt after making payment over zelle, but they still haven't send me a receipt. Will never ever go back to this restaurant...3/29: I see that the owner of this business has made an incorrect & a derogatory reply on sales tax etc which is incorrect. Despite it is not being worth my time going back & forth in comments here, The owner should remove or correct the misleading & incorrect statement that is made here. I am ready to present all of my past recent restaurant food purchase receipts where I have paid the sales tax, similarly the owner also must present all the receipts of his customers displaying how much sales tax was collected and how much was remitted to the state, as till date I have still not received...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you are looking for homemade Indian food near Princeton area which isnāt full of oil or artificial colors/flavors then donāt look any further- TripT Foods is the real deal. I ordered food from TripT while I was staying at a hotel in NJ where I had no access to kitchen. After a few days of eating unhealthy fast food,I was craving for homemade dal and roti and was lucky enough to find TripT in the area. I ordered everything the owner had on the menu that day and I am glad I did. The kadhi pakora was just like how my mom used to make back in India. Loved kadai paneer and dal as well, with just the right amount of spices. The rotis were really soft and good size, not like the little ones you get in the grocery stores. You can literally see in the picture, the food looks like it came right out of the tiffin box from home. Iād definitely order again whenever...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTried Tript Food through a Fooda pop-up at my job, and I genuinely hope the actual restaurant serves better quality than what we received. The chicken fingers were rock hard, bone dry, and completely inedible....it was like chewing on overcooked leftovers. The fried rice? Honestly, it tasted nothing like fried rice. It was bland, lacked texture, and just felt like a rushed afterthought.
I get that pop-up food canāt always match restaurant quality, but poor preparation shouldnāt be excused by convenience. If you're going to represent your brand outside your kitchen, it should still reflect your standards.
Extremely disappointing. I wouldnāt order again based on...
