Midpoint Breakfast & Grill — Restaurant in Montgomery Township

Horrible experience recently, had to update review. Ordered through Clover App 3 rice bowls, Clover said ready in 20 mins, I went there 30-40 mins later, owner said no order received. I showed him my app which said order placed. He did not even come over to view, just said go ask Clover. Then I went to my Chase app and checked that the order was charged to my credit card and told him. He again did not even view and just repeated that he didn't get any order so can't do anything, if I wanted anything I had to reorder. Then he started to serve people behind me without asking me what I wanted to reorder or if I wanted to reorder (when I got into Midpoint, I was the only one at the counter, but about 1-2 mins after I started talking to owner, 5-6 people came over to the counter, not sure from outside or somewhere else inside the restaurant, but regardless they were behind me). Because of how rude that was and that if I wanted anything I'd have to wait a long time, I left and tried to contact Clover App. But Clover only had corporate customer service for customers like Midpoint, not customers of Midpoint. - not sure if Midpoint knows this but they still asked me to contact Clover. I then thought I'd have to wait for the pending charge to fall off the credit card since per owner there isn't an order placed. What's upsetting was that just now I checked, the charge did not fall of my credit card. I had to open a credit card dispute to get my money back. Overall a completely horrible experience. Had the owner at least take down my information, he could've known to disallow the charge by Clover. He was super rude and impatient as if I've been telling him lies, and I said NOTHING rude during the conversation and showed him evidence and details of the order (which he refused to view), yet he started serving people behind me while telling me if I want anything I had to reorder - he could've viewed my Clover order and just make what the order had, if he weren't so rude. Then he could deny the Clover order which probably came in late (or more likely he just missed the order initially - it's hard to imagine an electronic online order arriving 40 mins late, isn't it?). I ordered a GrubHub pickup order and I show up like 10-15minutes early. When I walk in, I sit down at a table, and pull out my laptop while I wait for my food. One of the workers walks up to me and says "What do you want." (Not "how may I help you, did you place an order, etc." Just "what do you want" with a straight face.)

I told him I ordered food for pickup and I'm waiting for it to be ready. He goes on to say I can't eat here if I placed a pickup order. I question him why that is, but ultimately he says "I'll tell you why you can't later, I'm busy now".

I go back to waiting for my food. Once my food comes out, he reiterates that I cannot dine-in with a pickup order. I asked if I can buy something so I can eat here and he gives me a bunch of trouble, and ultimately says he'll make an exception. I just ended up leaving because I didn't feel welcomed and had a terrible welcoming experience. Wasn't comfortable eating the food after that. Very bad vibes. There was another customer there who was reading a book and did not get hassled...

I ordered rice bowl with gyro chicken and it was a pickup order. I picked it up and came back to my office and started eating. At that point I noticed that there's no chicken. There were rice, pickles, lettuce, spicy ezma and something that looked like pita bread stripes. I called them and the person whom I talked to insisted that he did put chicken and thats how gyro chicken tastes like. He was kind of rude in his tone but asked if I can come back to get another order or refund my money. I refused both as I already started eating and going back from work was not an option. Anyhow, came back confused that there's chicken and what I assumed now that those pita stripes were actually chicken. Trust me, it really didn't taste like chicken at all. I have had so many gyro bowls through NJ and NY and never got anything like this. Even I tried to force myself to believe that it is chicken but no it didn't taste like chicken at all.
