The food, service and atmosphere here are all top notch! The employees are always friendly and do a great job. I’ve never had a long wait to get my order even when it’s very busy. They have computer kiosks which is a huge plus if the line to order backs up or you just don’t feel like human interaction. Most importantly, the food is legitimately delicious and the portions are pretty good. You won’t leave hungry. They’re on the pricier side but that’s not unusual for the area. If you dine in, there’s plenty of room to sit down. Everything is very clean including the bathrooms (so important since that’s easily overlooked!) So why not 5 stars? Their hours! They don’t open until 7:30am. That’s really late for a business that sells itself as a breakfast place. This place would make a killing if they opened earlier to cater to the early morning work crowd. I’ve had to bypass this place for their competition a 2 minute drive down the road, which is also very worth checking out.

I tried two bagels from here! The first was the french toast bagel with the garlic and herb cream cheese. This one was the one that stood out, and it tasted amazing. The mix of the sweet and savory went surprisingly well together. The second was the garlic bagel with jalapeno cream cheese. This one was also great. The bagel sizes are big and definitely filling. I think it’s worth the price you pay. They do put a lot of cream cheese, so if you like less then it would be a good idea to mention that before ordering!

Randomly stopped for lunch on our way south to Maryland from upstate NY Food was awesome and the owner, Orlando, treated us like friends, and made the extra effort to get the cheesesteak and tuna melt just right. We lived 20 years in NJ before moving up to NY and we honestly MISS authentic, NEW JERSEY HOSPITALITY! Don’t let anyone tell you Jersey folks aren’t kind. Orlando was warm, friendly and proud of his business. Thanks for the bagels, Orlando!

So I visited the barn today for the second time, I’m not from the area just in Montgomery, the cook who prepared my two bagels, cake strolling out from the back like he couldn’t have been bothered, never once did he put gloves on to make my bagel he touched my bacon with bare hands, as well as the bagels I was very grossed out, but didn’t say anything because the cook looked like he would of come across the counter and choked me or something, very unpleasant people who work there, I will NEVER come back. To add insult to injury I spent a decent amount of time on the bathroom after eating my bagels which I shouldn’t have done, but I was on my to work and wanted something quick to eat.. if he treated my food like this, who’s to say his hands where even clean? I’m highly disgusted and want to punch the cook in his teeth! Your a cook you know better! Hopefully he doesn’t get somebody sick or has he? And I’m the only person with enough balls to write a review about the disgusting bare hands touching the customers food? To make this review even better the cook kept starring at me starring at him with his dirty paws touching everything I was...

Bagel Barn was the staple breakfast place when I was growing up and they've always had great bagels, which really hasn't changed much, so if you just want a simple bagel and cream cheese you are in luck. However, if you want something like a sandwich their quality has slipped significantly. When's the last time you've seen an egg and cheese sandwich in NJ with a single egg and a single slice of cheese? Ever been to a deli that only puts three slices of pastrami on your sandwich? Chicken salad on only one half of your bagel? Maybe it wouldn't be as big of a deal if the bagels were smaller, but given their size they need a decent amount of filling to be balanced. And I could understand if on an off day I received a sandwich that wasn't representative of their average quality but those last three poor examples were from consecutive visits. Anyway, that's the sad state of affairs at Bagel Barn these days. I guess I will just keep getting breakfast sandwiches from the convenience store down the road since somehow they manage to do...

It saddens me to give bagel barn one star. I use to go in there everyday (either for breakfast or lunch) but I stopped going in. The last seven times I went there MY ORDER IS NEVER CORRECT. I get all the way to the office and its wrong (i.e. wrong bagel, not toasted, missing an ingredient I ordered, whatever). I keep giving them another chance because I'm hoping they get their act together again (because they use to be good).

I even ordered eggs on a wrap and they said they don't do that. The owner told me they don't because he doesn't want to upset the cooks because they are so busy. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! Upset the cook??? What about the customer.....and I wasn't the only one to order an egg wrap. I heard it trying to be ordered a couple times. They are also way overpriced.

I never write reviews on google good or bad but I am just so frustrated. I needed to do something to make me feel better.

Well, time to find a new bagel place. I just can't get myself to go back. I gave them...
