Best theater in Vermont! It plays all independent films that are almost impossible to see unless you live in New York or LA and the only place in the state where you can drink amazing local beer with your film. It has only two screens, the upstairs theatre has beautiful brick walls and a personality all it’s own and the smaller downstairs screen has couch’s and reclining chairs that put your living room to shame! Anytime I can watch a film at this place I take it because it puts any AMC or other chain theater to shame. You won’t find “ the Avengers” playing here but for adults or real film lovers, this is the place. It’s like this little secret that mainly the locals know about. They show a lot of obscure movies typically not found elsewhere, and host special screenings with lectures. They’re also a mainstay for the Green Mountain Film Festival.
The staff is always...
Read moreHooray for independent theater! Well others are folding around the country this one is very much alive. Not only do they play the best independent movies, but they also participate fully in the community. They have Community movies from time to time for free, they are an active part of the annual Film Festival. This is the first place I Look to when I'm looking for a night out at the movies. Also their popcorn is amazing. And you can get wine there. But if you're going to the downstairs theater, get there early otherwise you might end up in the back and not be able to...
