Pho Thai Express is always delicious. Do not let the modest storefront and seating deter you. Everything is expertly prepared, fresh and full of good flavor. They are my favorite place to get authentic Pad Thai. Today we had the Pad See Ew - perfect amount of sauce to chewy noodles coated in crispy fried garlic and mixed with generous portions of vegetables and chicken. The owners are always kind and thoughtful. The boba tea is the best. I cannot say enough good things about this place.

I've tried Thai restaurants all over the country, and this place makes the best Thai noodles I've ever had. I wish I could cook like this. Subtle flavors, perfect noodles, large portions. And the owner always makes my family feel welcome. I love this place!

Best Tom Kha soup I've ever had! I keep going back. They also make really good ramen and bubble tea. The store front is unassuming, tucked between other shops across the street from the town hall but their food is the best kept secret in Montpelier.

My family went to this restaurant yesterday October 21, it was horrible experienced we ever have encountered for Asian restaurant. The MOST RUDEST PERSON EVER and he is the owner ( which you can see his photos on the wall inside that restaurant.

  1. We entered My husband, our son and I... we went direct to the counter to checked the menu, but my husband was rushing to the restroom... immediately that man stopped my husband from going to the restroom in the rudest way.

  2. He was rushing us ( our son and I ) to order which we were still thinking of what we feel like eating that moment.

  3. After we order the chi curry ( which he forced us to order in a quick decision )..... then he immediately asking us to pay it right away which I was still looking at the menu.

  4. When my husband came out the restroom.... he said to us “ maybe we should just eat here instead in a car as it maybe messy to eat in that car! .... that man immediately said we should have told him right away as he already put in the container. We even say not to worry about changing into a plate we will just eat it direct from the container..... he was so extremely rude ..... we couldn’t stand his rudeness, so we decided to leave.

WE WILL NEVER EVER ORDER IN THAT RESTAURANT EVER AGAIN! THE FOOD IN NOT...

Very very few vegetarian options. If you ask, you'll be told the tofu soups are vegetarian, but if you ask specifically about the broths, they are chicken or beef. "If you don't eat meat, these are okay, but if you're vegan, only this one." One of the coconut curry dishes is "real vegan", so hopefully you like that one thing. I'm not a fan of hot, salty coconut milk or uncooked tofu, unfortunately. In my experience, 2/3 Pho places have vegetarian broths and good veggie options, some don't. This one doesn't.

Also, their boba options are basically tea or mango juice with tapioca balls added in. Not terrible, but not what we were hoping for/expecting.

I'm told the beef pho was pretty good, and Sam seems like a kind man. Overall, the place seems popular,...

Aromatic, delicious Pho in a humble, low-key dining room. The family that operates the restaurant are so sweet and gracious, and wholly dedicated to what they do. Do not judge the atmosphere or the food pictures on the wall---dive into the food. I had the Tom Yom soup, and was extremely pleased by the fish, lemongrass, and sour lime and spice smells and flavors of the broth---a real treat. Steam buns were not incredible...but satisfying, all the same. I'm a regular when it comes to the Iced Thai Boba tea as well...I think this is the only place in Vermont that actually serves bubble tea! Thank goodness for Pho Thai...welcome...
