My phone died - it was not charging at all. Someone suggested going to CPR Cell Phone Repair for help. (I love the name - I teach CPR and First Aid classes!)
The first time I went into the store, Greg was there. I explained the issue, he tried a few things that did not work, and gave me several options.
My friends had given an old phone to me, and Greg changed out the chip thing to make it work, and sent my dead phone to "the hospital" to see if it could be saved.
In the next couple of weeks, I stopped by to chat and learn why the borrowed phone was not doing what my phone did, and he took (literally) seconds to fix the issues.
He spoke to me as if I understood, and I asked him to translate what he was saying to a 5 year old level, and he did without any issues! I understood a lot more (not all - which I do not need to know).
Today, I went in to check on my phone's progress. It had arrived hours earlier. Matt was there to help me today. He let me know the first "hospital" could not revive my phone and sent it to a second "hospital" ... the verdict - my phone is dead.
Matt when through several options to "maybe" be able to retrieve the contents, and the time and cost. I opted out.
I had one more question on the borrowed phone I have, and within seconds, he fixed the issue.
We also discussed options for a newer phone - I need a phone that makes phone calls, occasionally texts, and that is it. I do everything on my computer which sits on my desk at home.
Both Greg and Matt are wonderful, knowledgeable, listen (patiently) to what the customer has to say in non techy English, and respond appropriately, with a smile. They both explained my options, the time involved and cost of each, then let me decide. Neither tried to sell something to me I do not want or need. I appreciate that so much! I know what is available and the cost, and they will be there when and if I decide on something new (to me).
Greg and Matt understand the concept of service! Whether you are a "techy" and understand the language, or technologically challenged like I am, these young men will be happy (and able) to assist you!
They are knowledgeable about phones, computers, and other electronic "stuff". If you have an issue or a question, give CPR Cell Phone Repair a...
Read moreFirst, I must commend the staff— very professional and courteous so I extend my regards to them on that.
However, I regrettably have docked a star, not on anyone person, but perhaps on the overall corporate business for (1) not having protocols for indicating and communication when one’s device is done being serviced. Perchance, a measure of this oversight rests with me, however it does seem like an unnecessary issue when quoted a +/- 24 business hour interval (72 hour or the Friday- Monday); but then were then not notified by phone that device was complete for pickup until a lackadaisical 6 working days later. Dropped off 12 June, told the repair would be complete by 14 June or 17 June latest, then notified ready on 25 June via telephony. CBA (cost benefit analysis) and your clientele: okay: I discussed this in person briefly— for the price of repair (do NOT mistake it to say I think you should underpay your workers), the only reason why the CBA of repair checked out for my device worked out was the cost of time to ship a replacement / refurbishment tablet to this location (WV). Had I known the timing of the repair (days longer than quoted— minimum 300%), I would have purchased a replacement device— for about the same price point or less.
(3) Fix and upgrade creditably issues: to implement a major business, the scale (not only of the Morgantown Office), but given the number of non-subsidiary offices in the United States. The first thing I noticed was the incorrect map on your own website. It has the correct number of random cities on the map (in Alabama and a left panel with seven WV cities). If you want to know why something like that matters: ask your corporate PR team why that’s a big issue for building a report with customers as a company able to provide detail oriented work on their personal devices.
Let me try and on a positive…. I am appreciative that current device was repairable and the decreasing amount tech able is a huge factor in less sustainable Earth. Let’s just hope for...
