By far the worst experience I have had and I spend a lot of money at Kroger! 1) The registers were all closed before 9pm! When asked why all registers were closed, the young woman did not handle the customer service oriented response well at all to the experienced evening shopper in front of me. She rolled her eyes and walked away before the lady was done sharing about her experience. 2) A Scooter was then placed in front of the only working entrance into the store and it states that it is to be open until 12AM. A group of young teenagers had gone in and quickly came right back out because of this. 3) There was not a SINGLE cart to be had as they were all out in the parking lot. 3) Two employees stood there while this lady in front of me was trying to load the belt, scan all items, bag all items, and then place it all in the buggy by herself …with them WATCHING! 4) MY two sons 10 and 15 helped this lady bag and load her buggy so that we could also try to move along and get out of there. Now, I say to you with the way I seen how people were treated and situations were handled I’m telling you that a handicapped person would not have made it through this at all!! Shame. 5) then one of the younger boys had the audacity to tell my husband as he was having difficulty with the items scanning, HOW to SCAN!! If you had registers OPEN with someone who was TRAINED to do such a task, none of the shoppers tonight would’ve had to experience what we did and this review would’ve never been written. I am extremely...
Read moreI was hoping this was just a temporary thing, as in just tonight…but as per Google, the hours are now listed as 6am-11pm at Suncrest Towne Centre Kroger. I hope they have done an adequate cost analysis on implementing an earlier closing time. I know that for myself, I tend to eat the extra cost of shopping at Kroger for the extra hour on evening shopping trips as opposed to saving money at Walmart, but having less time to complete my shopping before the 11pm closing time. I always saw a decently steady flow of business from 11pm-Midnight. How many employees are you actually cutting loose an hour early? The single cashier working self-checkout late at night? It’s not like the stockers aren’t still working all night. If 11pm is permanent, you’ll be losing a considerable amount of business overall…from me as well as a lot of the later night shoppers I’m sure. That extra hour over Walmart mattered enough to me to pay more on a lot of purchases. It was bad enough that you stopped staying open 24 hours during the pandemic, but I could somewhat understand that due to the shift in nearly everyone’s shopping habits and extra time required to sanitize the store…but closing an hour earlier? It seems like there’s so much to be lost and so little to gain with...
