Underwhelmed with the knowledge and level of customer from the pharmacy staff.
My doctor sent over 3 perceptions to be filled. I called before hand and asked how long of a wait it would be because I was out and about. The person on the other end of the phone told me it would be about 20/30 mins , which was no problem.
I get to the parking lot and sit in my car for about 25 mins before going in because I figured a few mins of a wait wouldnât be major. I was greeted by a cashier who let me know they werenât ready yet and that it would be a few more mins - no problem.
10 or 15 mins later they call my name and I walk up to the counter. The cashier rings me out for 2 perceptions. I correct her and bring to her attention that I have 3 prescriptions. Confused she goes back to the computer and insists I only have two. So I pull up my Walgreens app and show it her - it shows 3 prescriptions. The cashier proceeds to tell me that itâs not a prescription itâs just a reminder (completely made up)
After insisting that itâs a reminder she finally asks the pharmacist and she realizes itâs a prescription and letâs me know itâll be another 10 mins. So I sit back down and wait. After about 20 more mins I get up and walk over to the counter. The cashier letâs me know it is not done yet. At this point I am frustrated and I tell her that I will leave. Not once did she try to empathize or rectify the situation. I would have appreciated an apology a bit of empathy / understating but she didnât seem to care much.
Will be taking my...
Read moreReviews donât lie. You should expect nothing but complications and hours of waiting on hold over the phone. Iâve had a few instances where I drove to the store, waited in a long line, just to resolve an issue that could be done over the phone. I then have to drive back at a later time when the prescription is ready. I have to spend hours each month resolving issues and planning my day around picking up a prescription. Medications are obviously necessary for your health and wellness, but it seems like Walgreens lacks this awareness. I cannot imagine the negative impact theyâve had on folks who are too sick to call repeatedly or make trips to the store⌠folks who have a busy schedule⌠folks who cannot stand for long periods of time⌠folks who donât have the knowledge, language, energy, ability to advocate for themselves to get medications they need. I wish I could say this is unique to this Walgreens. However, this has been my experience at every Walgreens Pharmacy location over the past 2 years. The staff, while pleasant and well trained, seem to be under visible distress. Theyâre inundated with a workload that simply cannot be done by the number of staff they have. I get my meds eventually, but not without guilt for supporting a business that clearly doesnât value their employees or customers....
Read moreI had horrifying experience with this pharmacy. I had scheduled my sons covid vaccine with this walgreens. We had travel plans after my son got my second dose. On the day of first dose, I get a call from pharmacy that there was nationwide shortage of vaccine and it was on media about that, so I had to cancel it. I called up other walgreens and cvs in my locality to know about the shortage and all of them told me that there was no shortage at all. I called up this walgreens again and requested them to prioritize my son's vaccine for next week as we had travel plans. There was this crazy irresponsible uneducated pharmacist named Matt at this location who behaved very rudely and said that he first agreed to prioritize the vaccine next week. I asked for confirmation from him and requested to talk to walgreens manager. He bluntly denied and started talking crazy that he will not allow me to talk to manager. I visited to pharmacy and wanted to know what was the vaccine situation and he threatened me to send to cops. I immediately reported him to the walgreens manager Ellise about lying to customer about vaccine status and then not allowing me to talk to manager about this. I request you to please beware of the pharmacist called MATT...All the other walgreens and cvs had abundance of vaccines...
