Not impressed!
My wifeās bike tire was flat so I brought it in 2 weeks ago and when I brought it home it went flat. So I brought it back in with the bike and my bike to get a tune up for both. I brought the bikes in early this week. I told the guy working I needed it done before next week cause we were going on vacation. Yesterday I called to check in on the status, didnāt expect it to be done but was worried it wouldnāt get done when I needed the bikes. Plus how long does it really take to do a simple thing like a tune up? When I called who ever I spoke to seemed offended that I even called to check in. Sorry to bother you! Wow, not good customer service at all. However I was polite and didnāt argue and ended the call. Then I get a call an hour later that the bikes are ready? A little too good to be true if you ask me. Sure enough I get there and after waiting to be helped for almost over an half hour my bike looks and rides the same! I was in a hurry so I left without saying anything. Now my wife is heading over there with all of my kids (You donāt want me down there, unless you are ready for world war 3) and my bike in hopes they will actually perform the work that we paid for. When I spend 50 bucks for a tune up I expect my breaks to work well and a smooth ride. I spent 140 dollars plus the additional cost of the tire for the first trip and now all this time and inconvenience to go back there!? How shameful! We will not be taking our bikes there again or recommending them. I feel completely taken advantage of and swindled. Support local businesses but stay away from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came in to ask about how much it would cost to swap out handlebars on my bike. Instead of asking me about my project or acting interested in what I had to say I got the āI think you would be more happy with this $1000 bikeā treatment. Without even seeing my bike or knowing the brand and model of bike I was told it would cost $400-$500 to swap the handlebars. Whether that price is accurate or not I do not know but I do know that I am no closer to solving my posture problems after visiting this establishment.
I did not feel the person in charge of helping me had any intention of helping me; he just wanted to do sales things at me. Disappointing, I wanted to like this place because it is close...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe neighbor of a friend was getting rid of 2 bikes that her children had outgrown. Though they were in rough shape, I took them with the intention of repairing them and giving them to some kids next door. After taking them to another shop and being told they weren't worth fixing, I stopped by Car's. I explained to Bruce what I was trying to do. He went the extra mile to get the bikes up and running at a very reasonable price. I appreciated his kindness and willingness to help. Bruce came to the rescue, and the kids love their bikes. I highly recommend Car's for all your...
