Ever since a friend first introduced me to this hidden gem, I’ve been returning to this delightful restaurant with great anticipation. It's nestled in a charming strip mall, making it feel cozy and inviting. After parking in the convenient lot, you walk through the entrance, and the ambience immediately captivates you. Artwork adorns the walls, and the soft, melodic tunes floating through the air set an incredibly soothing mood that promises a wonderful dining experience.
On this particular visit, the service was exceptional, reaffirming my love for this place. The staff always makes you feel like family, greeting you with warm smiles and prompt attention, forging a welcoming atmosphere that truly enhances the meal. Normally, I can't resist ordering the pho, their broth is a revelation, rich and deeply flavored, far superior to the watered-down versions you often find elsewhere. However, in the spirit of adventure, I decided to shake things up this time.
I opted for the sweet and sour chicken, while my girlfriend chose the curry beef. When the dishes arrived, I was instantly entranced by the vibrant colors and enticing aromas wafting from each plate. The sweet and sour chicken was a masterpiece: the chicken was perfectly fried, crispy on the outside yet tender and juicy within, without the heaviness of excessive oil. Each bite was a delight, and the accompanying rice had a light, fluffy texture that paired beautifully with the dish.
The sauce was a burst of tangy sweetness, though I found it could use just a touch more seasoning, so I quickly remedied that with a drizzle of soy sauce, enhancing the flavors even further.
Now, let me tell you about the curry beef. My girlfriend’s dish was absolutely fabulous! The curry sauce was an explosion of flavors; rich, aromatic, and perfectly spiced, it enveloped the tender pieces of beef in a warming embrace. Each mouthful transported me to a culinary paradise, with the depth of spices dancing on my taste buds. It was a truly unforgettable experience that complemented my dish perfectly.
As we shared bites and exchanged our thoughts, it became clear that this visit, like so many before, was nothing short of spectacular. Sitting there, surrounded by stunning decor and indulging in such delicious food, I felt grateful for this culinary haven that never fails to impress. I left with a satisfied palate and a promise to return soon, dreaming of the next extraordinary meal in this...
Read moreVietnamese food is all the rage right now, healthy, hearty and easy, even on picky people, since we have some authentic options here in Minnesota I decided to give it a try. The soups are usually beyond compare, and it's hard to go wrong. Vietnamese food is just sort of "better" than the other options. Vietnamese cuisine is highly influenced by French colonization and their quality and savor shows this. The easiest go to is a bowl of Vietnamese soup (phö) there is a basic chicken or meat version and a traditional broth home made and secret to each family that's better than any soup you have ever had. Served with some loose basil, and some lime and sprouts on the side, you feel warm and filled and like you can survive a another double shift. There is some sauces too, highly personalizable flavors, but basically perfected already so you don't have to worry about it. During Covid it is so important to try to find something interesting to do, and something inspiring to eat. For me sometimes trying new things is the way and the places that have the food that we need are the most under threat. I was lucky enough to be passing by Pink Flower and noticed the tell tale signs of a place with perfected and underpriced Phö and and immediately jumped at it, googled, called found they were still open and got a to-go order. In their shopping mall, Pink Flower stands out like a diamond in the rough. WIth their own entrance, its such a nice place. The family that run the restaurant are really pleasant and helpful for those who are unfamiliar with their offerings. I honestly recommend eating here, for a number of philosophical reasons but fundamentally this is one, darn good bowl of soup. Check it out. It...

My boyfriend took me here on a date—he used to come often but hadn’t visited in nearly 7 months. Yet somehow, the waitress still remembered his order. That kind of memory? Pure witchcraft. We were already impressed before a single bite.
I ordered the 5 Spice Beef (hot) and I’m pretty sure they went easy on me (maybe I don’t look like someone who sprinkles Carolina Reapers on her steak?), but wow—the flavor was still a knockout. The thick, rich sauce clung to scallions and onions like it had something to prove. Each bite felt like a little flavor dance on my tongue. No notes. Just fireworks.
He got the ribeye and brisket pho, and let me tell you: liquid gold. I’d never had pho before, so we did what true food nerds do—we swapped plates with giddy excitement. One big slurp and bite in, and I was emotionally compromised. Broth that rich deserves a trust fund!
The ambiance? Cozy, peaceful, and full of charm. You can sit back, relax, and fully soak in the magic of the moment. Which brings me to…
The fortune cookie moment.
After reading his, he smiled and said, “This one was meant to be yours.” I read mine: “You’ll experience a love that knows no limits.” I told him nope—mine’s perfect. But he insisted It was for me so i read it: “Love is the best medicine.” I blushed. Showed him mine. He grinned and said, “So… they’re the same,” and winked.
Y’all. I think this man said his first “I love you” through pho and a fortune cookie. Soft boi unlocked. Heart melted instantly.
10/10 would slurp again. Pink Flower, you’ve got two loyal fans—and a very warm place in our little...
