I recently visited Morse Jewelers to have a watch battery replaced and found the employees unfriendly and rude. There were no pleasantries as I entered the store and while I stood waiting for my watch to be finished. The man who helped me was abrupt and extremely rude. After I was handed back my watch, I noticed 3 sizable scratches on the crystal and told the man. He immediately became indignant and said, “I didn’t do it”. I explained I had just cleaned off the watch that morning and the scratches were not there. He had no interest in examining the watch, he just repeated, “I didn’t do it”, and explained how he simply held it in his the palm of his hand, crystal side down. I suggest maybe his tool hit the crystal, his response was the same showing increasing annoyance with me. I finally said, as I started walking away, very disappointed and upset, “I suppose if you had done it you would deny it”. He raised his voice and said, “I did not do it, and I don’t like being accused of something I didn’t do!”. I replied, “you haven’t been very nice about it and I didn’t accuse you of doing it” and left extremely upset. I am a 59 year old woman and have never experienced anything like...
Read moreAbsolute worst customer service experience I have had in months. I went in to get a watch refitted and when I got there there was a line and he told me I'd have to come back for it. I am not from the area and needed to wait for it to be done so I told him I would wait for the store to be less busy. After I was the only customer left in the store I asked him if I could wait for it to be done and he finally agreed but was very rude about it. He complained that the watch links were difficult to take out but finally he got it done. When he rang me up he charged me three times what he should have. He charged me $20 to take out TWO CHAIN LINKS. I questioned him about it and he was very rude and said that I had to pay since he already did it. THEN when I got it back in my car I saw a few scrapes and scratches by a few of the links. Overall, my experience was absolutely...
Read moreNot a good experience. Husband bought a watch for my Christmas present. Decided to return as it wasn’t my style. Instead of refunding, they charged him for the full price & accepted the watch. So we were charged double & they have the returned merchandise to sell. Luckily my husband discovered the error the next day. They offered a bland apology stating the register keys were close together. That tells me this has happened before so wouldn’t that have meant to pay extra attention. Also at the end of the day, shouldn’t they have realized the sales were WAY OFF based on the daily transactions. Fishy and criminal. There are too many much nicer jewelers in our area. Morse jewelers lost...
