Just to be clear, Iâm leaving this review five years later. This hospital felt like a prison, I felt like a hostage! Donât ever come here to deliver! I delivered here on July 22nd 2019 with my first baby. My experience was hell! They told me I had to be induced and then wasn't checked on for a while, babyâs heartbeat dropped tremendously during this time, when my doc came in to check how far I was dilated but before she could check they started demanding a C-section once they noticed the babyâs heart rate, my doc seemed pissed bc she actually said how long has she been like this in a panic. When I cried and denied The C-section bc I was scared I was told âyou will deliver a dead baby if we donât get him out of you now!â No compassion. I ended up just agreeing I felt like I had to after them saying that, I was there over 18 hours. So I just agreed. Before all of this I had gotten two epidurals. That only worked on one half of my body. They should have known this! As Iâm rushed to the c section room and they begin to cut me open, I feel a slice of hot and cold searing pain being cut open without being numb! I screamed on the top of my lungs âI CAN FEEL THAT!â All the doctors dropped everything and looked panicked and stopped. I asked for them to put me to sleep bc I didnât want to feel the pain if thatâs what it felt like. I actually have two c section scars, one where they first cut me when I felt it, and the other. Unfortunalty my baby came out with a minor breathing issue and couldnât eat right so they had to take him to the Nicu. I was constantly lied to about when my baby would come out of the nice and when I could take him home. I was in that hospital for ten days bc I wouldnât leave my baby in there Care! As long as he stayed so did I! In those ten days I didnât see outside or smell fresh air! Most mothers leave after 3 days, I was in there for 10! Stressing! About what just happened to me, my baby being in nicu, the way I was being treated by nurses, talking to me so rude and just lying about certain things. Coming in with personal medicine announcing it Infront of my family after me letting them know I wanted to keep all my health history and medication private! So I ask if there is anyway I can go outside to their garden that they have to get some fresh air. My mom was with me everyday! So she was there with the baby. One nurse told me yes you can go I just have to see if there is someone available to go with you. Hours went by of me waiting, shifts must have changed and when the other nurse came in and I asked about going to the garden to get some fresh air she says âoh no we donât do thatâ if you leave this building even if itâs in there garden they would consider that negligence and call cps! Mind you I have been in here for 10 days while my baby is in the nicu! I could have left at day 3 but decided to stay with him! And your telling me I canât go get fresh air after all Iâve been through and then threaten me, all whilst being accompanied by a Virtua employee. Iâm sure there is so much more that I am missing but all I know is my experience of delivering there being a first time mom was nothing less than a nightmare! Fast forward years later when I tell people about my experience at mount holly, doctors ask me where did you deliver and I tell them and they make faces saying well that whyâŠyou delivered at mount holly. A lot of nurses have trained there and hated it as well! They called me a trooper for delivering there! I could have sued big time, but didnât. I should have now that I think about this years later just PLEASE DO NOT DELIVER HERE! My first time delivering a baby was ruined because of this hospital and their staff! When I finally got to leave it was a breath...
Read moreAmazing hospital! Amazing! Iâm not from NJ Iâm from UT. I travel with my boyfriend who drives semis. Our main route is to NJ. I have lots of medical conditions and medical equipment. I have two feeding tubes and a central line. One of my feeding tubes broke. This tube goes to my intestines and that is how I receive very important medicine. I needed this tube fixed. We had to call an ambulance to pick us up from our shipper as we could not fit the semi in the hospital parking lot. ( My bf has done it before but this one was way too small) . The ambulance staff were amazing! They helped me into the ambulance as well as my service dog. She made me and my pup feel very comfortable and safe. My bf rode up front with the other emt and they had an amazing conversation hahaha all the way to the hospital. When we got there I was put into a room and they sent my bf and my service dog right back after they checked in up front! I met with the nurse who went over everything with me. I had requested my pain meds IV as I canât take them orally due to my medical conditions and since my Jtube was broken I couldnât take them that way. She said she would ask but the doctor wanted to wait till he saw me. After a bit she came back with pain meds and said she talked to the doctor and since I missed my last dose and I was in extreme pain she was able to get him to order some as we waited. The doctor came in not long after and said Iâd have to be admitted but I would be able to get in for my procedure first thing in the morning. We didnât want to as we had to leave but decided it was in my best interest to. We didnât think we were staying before we left the truck so we didnât have dog food on us so the staff made sure he got a special mean lol till we were able to get his food! I got admitted and first thing in the morning I headed down! They tried light sedation but it was not good for me. They took me back up to my room and said we would have to wait till tomorrow but 15 minutes later they came in and said we got anesthesia to come down! Once I got down there again they took the time to bring the tube to me and go over how long it needed to be and what size. I explained I would like it shorter as my other IR kept placing to long of a tube. They replaced it at the proper size and length and I was very grateful that they did and listened to me! I was able to come out of sedation and I was still out of it so we were going to wait till i fully woke up. I ended up have a major seizure that multiple meds could not stop and I was maxed out. They decided that it was not safe for me to continue seizing and it could kill me so they called a code and I was intubated and sedated and put into a coma. It was very hard on my bf and the staff really helped him out. They took great care of both him and my dog as well as me. They really did amazing! The only problem we had was my bf wanted to wait on a med but they decided not to but other then that no problems. I really appreciated how I was treated as well as how much effort they put in to making my bf and dog comfortable as well. They were truly amazing and I definitely recommend them! Thank you to everyone at that hospital for keeping me alive and healthy as well as taking good care of...
Read moreNot even 1 star. I donât do this usually so itâs a pretty bad one. Word of warning. ER visit 6/17 after transport from ambulance for heart rate at 177: Doctor spent more time trying to get attention from everyone working than she did with her patients. Running around talking about âwhy did I go to medical schoolâ and talking about how many codes sheâs had all day and how sheâs such a superstarâŠ.but spent literally 2 minutes at triage to ask me two questions, leave me sitting in the hallway when my heart rate was over 120, and I did not know what was going on. Didnât know if I was dying, having a heart attackâŠor even if I was going to see my son again. Next time she comes over, sheâs telling me all my tests were good and itâs probably my anxiety. Doctors always treat the mentally ill or people with chronic illnesses like this. You never take the time to actually listen or care about the patients. I have had terrible experiences every time Iâve been at the hospital, but this one takes the cake. This one is going on google, yelp and where ever else I can write it because that doctor is a liability. Sheâs does not care about the patients at all. The nurses and techs were AMAZING. Doctor tried to keep saying it was my anxiety and pointed out that since I wasnât getting a diagnosis, I was upset therefore my heart rate went up. I very calmly explained that I know my anxiety, and this is not the case. She dismissed my concern. When asked if she had any advice, she said no. See a cardiologist. I asked if there was anything I could do at home until I could see a cardiologist. She spoke to me in a demeaning voice, very loudly so everyone could hear, â If your heart rate gets too fast, just come back to the hospitalâ. I have to say, your doctors are the exact reason why people die at home or wait too long for treatment. Because we donât want to be dismissed. We are at the ER for something emergent, even if it isnât emergent to the doctor. Iâm 34, and Iâve never had issues with my heart. And all you can tell me is that everything is normal??? When the patient advocate heard my story, she talked to the doctorâwho suddenly had an idea; a holter monitor because she finally said it âyour heart rate is too high and we donât know whyâ. I have. 3 year old son, and Iâm a single mother. I came to your business by ambulance for a legitimate emergent health issue, and my heart rate at 177 (even at discharge I was elevated at 110, and the doctor yet again tried to say it was me being worked up . And I was brushed aside like I came in with a loose tooth. Doctors name is Alaleh Ebrahim. I will continue to tell others about this experience as much as I possibly can. This doctor needs to lose her license because she is ignoring the first item in the Hippocratic oath; do no harm. Sheâs doing harm by being arrogant, dismissive and ignorant. Get rid of her or risk lawsuits that will most definitely come. My name is...
