Taquería los cuates — Restaurant in Lumberton Township

If you want real mexican food this is the place. If your familiar with a hole in the wall mexican restaurant with real flavor, this is it. It's not very spacious. There are 4 tables to eat at. There was about a little over 30 minute wait for the food, but it was worth it! I had the torta al pastor (marinated pork sandwich) and it was DELICIOUS! Even my wife enjoyed the few bites she had from my plate. I also had a taco of lengua (cow tongue) and it tasted fresh and it was tender. The meats did not taste like they were pre-made in the morning. They tasted fresh and were tender. The food reminded me of walking down the marketa (the market) down in Mexico. No where else in have I had great food. All other Mexican restaurants around are mediocre and expensive. Im not saying this place is cheap, because its not, but the food is 100% worth the money. Food tasted great!! I wish I took a picture of the food before I ate it but it just smelled so good. I'll definitely be returning. This place is cash only, so be prepared. They just opened up so I don't know if they plan to take card in the future. When you order tacos it comes with 4 packed tacos on corn tortillas. The quesadilla is filled with meat and cheese, Al pastor was crispy and there was shredded lettuce and crema on top. The carnitas on my tacos was a little fatty but that could be how others like it, flavor was delicious. and it was prepared within a reasonable time, but do call ahead if you're trying to be in and out.
