I’m new to sugaring, I’ve had three the last three months. I’ve gone to BSB’s Nashville and Mt. Juliet locations with Emma and Morgan. My experiences have been mixed. Both technicians were very helpful in talking through the process, after care, etc. Morgan is great at talking throughout the entire time to help distract from pain. The dissatisfaction comes from learning that sugaring technique is not the same as waxing, in that the sugar paste should be removed in the direction the hair grows. My hair grows downward and inward—— both technicians ripped paste going up and out. So as you can guess, it means I have a lot of breakage. Near the end of my second sugaring, Morgan did mention that she saw the “small hairs”, but she said it may have to do with my hair having different growth cycles. Just had the third sugaring on Tuesday- it’s now Friday, and I’m finding hairs all over the place. Considering I was fully grown and trimmed for my first sugaring, I think it’s the using waxing techniques causing left over stubble and ingrown hairs. This makes waiting the 4-5 weeks to reup pretty unpleasant by about 10 days in.

I may try a different tech at BSB but if after the fourth time, the person goes against the hair growth, and not with it the 3 stars will fall to 1, and I certainly would not...

I see Julie every month like clockwork! She is so personable and doesn’t make the experience awkward at all. The studio is on the second floor (along with a bunch of other studios, for hair, lashes, etc) you just dial in they buzz you in. Each studio also has a lock so it’s just you and your esthetician. Honestly these extra safety precautions give me a peace of mind. The studio’s cleanliness and warm is so inviting and truly makes you feel so comfy going there. I also have to give a HUGE shout out and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Julie. I’ve been seeing her for over a year now and I love love love her! The first time I went I saw a different girl (idr her name) but I felt really awkward (I’ve also been getting sugared for years just at different location due to moving a lot). But the next time I booked, I booked with Julie and it was the BEST decision I’ve made. She’s always so accommodating and great at getting ingrowns. I cannot say enough good things about her...

Brittany gave me the best wax of my life. I had foregone getting a brazilian for about a year since we moved from ATL. The price was double what I was used to paying back in ATL, but oh my god it was so worth it. I was a mess, but it was (relatively) painless.
