After an amazing experience at the Burger Republic in The Gulch, we were excited to try the one in Mount Juliet where we live. Never Again. I had asked about the Breakfast Shake which according to the menu contained vanilla ice cream, maple syrup and bacon. Being 5 months pregnant I made it very clear that I cannot have any alcohol. The drink I was then served had a very strong taste so my husband tried it and thought it tasted like alcohol was in it. I've never had this shake before so I had brought it to the servers attention that it didn't taste right and I specifically asked for a nonalcoholic drink. Her response was, "Oh I'm so sorry, they spiked it." She then brought another drink which was the correct one in a different style glass and tells me, "they thought you ordered a Maple Bourbon, sorry about that." Being that she served it in a different glass, it's not just the kitchens fault for making the wrong drink because the server herself should've noticed she was serving me the wrong glass. Not once in the 45 minutes after the mishap, did a Manager stop to acknowledge our table, apologize for the mistake nor did we even see a Manager in the front of the house. The fact that I'm pregnant and specifially asked for a nonalcoholic beverage and was then served one without being ID'ed should atleast warrant a manager to visit the table. I don't understand how a mistake being made with alcohol doesn't get a Manager's attention or an explanation. It really was handled very unprofessionally. As we were leaving the restaurant, I spotted someone that looked to be a manager and told him I wanted to just bring to his attention the problem we ran into and that the staff should be a little more attentive to what they're serving. All I wanted from this situation was a simple apology and for someone to acknowledge the fact that a mistake was made. A simple apology will make a difference of that unsatisfied customer coming back next time or leaving the restaurant and writing a negative review online and telling everyone they know how lousy and unprofessional the service and...
Read moreWell this used to be the best burger spot in town. Unfortunately things have gone down a bit here as far as service goes. We came in to have lunch but the service was really bad. The host was in a bad mood so that got us off on the wrong start. Our server took her time to great us about 8 minutes. The food took about 20 minutes but once we did get it. They got the orders mixed up and we just re-plated everything at the table. The food was really good. Most places provide you with silverware and sharing plates before your food gets there. They should adopt this practice here. The Philly rolls were too much of the egg roll wrapper and not enough filling. I order my Burger without a bun and then it came on a bun and the waitress took it to the back where they just removed the bun so if you have allergies or aversion beware. I'm not celiac but if I was that could have been a disaster unfortunately the staff didn't even ask. Anytime someone removes the bun you should ask. The burgers themselves were greasy and lifeless not at all like the burgers I remember from years past. The sauces were all really good and because the sauces and dressings are so good I have to at least give them 3 stars. All in all I would say that if you are visiting Nashville you would get a better burger in the Gulch location. Tourists will probably prefer to find something more consistent I would recommend Jack Browns and The Stilery for a better burger. Black tap is the best wagu burger. Burger Republic for the best overall burger. Def don't miss this stop on your trip and cut your server some slack it's probably their first...
Read moreGood help is hard to find! I know, I have a business that employees the younger kids. We really wanted to love this place because we love burgers. Firstly, the tables are way way too close together. You are sitting awkwardly close to people you don't know. I had the Burger Republic burger wanted to see what it is all about. It's just an average burger, nothing special. I asked for medium, got well done. My wife got the 4 cheese burger, i took a bite and asked her why it tasted like fish, like salmon to be exact,. She said there was no fish on the burger but that she thought the same thing. Couldn't finish it. Probably some ingredient sat too close to some fish in the fridge?? We finished around 8:30, but for some reason had the workers at the tables on both sides of us turning the tables upside down, sweeping, spaying some nasty smelling chemical on the table while we were trying to finish eating? Big pet peeve of mine! I thought that maybe they were about to close, still no excuse, but they don't close until 10 pm! Like i said good help is hard to find. It was like there was no manager in charge and the kids wanted out early. Our waitress was nice, but there are over 30 beers on tap, we tried the 4 flight pick your beer and most were flat. If you have that many taps, you better use them, because flat beer is no fun. Anyway, 75 dollar tab for 2 with an appetizer and one shake. So go to 5 guys where the burger really...
