Gotcha Poke Bowl&Bubble Tea — Restaurant in Mount Juliet

I recently contacted this business as part of a professional reference check, and the experience was concerning. Initially, there was confusion about who I was and the nature of my call, which I understand can happen. However, once I clarified that I was calling as a business owner regarding a former employee, the tone became unprofessional.

I was told the individual “wasn’t a good fit,” but when I asked for clarity (such as whether it was related to attendance or reliability), I was told I was being unprofessional for asking, and the call was abruptly ended. I later learned from the applicant that they were let go without notice or reason, despite completing tax forms, and were then paid in cash, which raises additional concerns.

This experience left me with serious questions about how things are handled internally. I wouldn’t normally leave a review, but given how disjointed and disrespectful the interaction was, I felt it was important to share for other professionals considering...

It was very tasty. I have a lot of dietary restrictions and I’m so happy we found this place in Mt. Juliet. They have Gluten-Free options for their poke bowls (build your own) and dairy-free options for their boba tea. My mom and husband do not have dietary restrictions and also loved their meals. They kept raving about the sauces and how flavorful they were (I couldn’t try them, but it was still awesome they had several choices. They do have gluten-free sauces, but they were mostly mayo based. Not being able to have eggs, I couldn’t try them.) Even so, they have a lot of options for toppings and I enjoyed my meal. Later lunch as we're past Nashville and heading East. Mrs. K. wanted something healthy so we detoured into Mount Juliet and got a poke bowl at Gotcha.

Rather than the "assembly line" popularized by Subway and Chipotle, we were asked to order off the menu with their preset poke bowls. Don't get me wrong - they're made to order and assembled right then, but I do like to "more of that" and "none of the other" as we're putting it together.

A nice bowl with a warm rice base topped with proteins and veggies that was quite delicious including krab salad, seaweed salad, tuna and avocado. Plenty to share here that was tasty and fresh.
