I walked into this beautiful place while I was there on a retreat. I was guided and shown how to play the bowls. I didn’t know what to expect or how to because I’ve never played a sound bowl before. The lady who helped me was awesome, she gave space as needed to allow me to be in the flow with the bowls. She did ask if I wanted her to play one for me, and I knew instantly that was the right bowl. She showed me how I could flow with the practitioner sound bowls, and I did play with it before I make the official purchase. This space is very inviting, they know what they are doing, and if provide the right amount of space and support to help you with what is calling you. I recently visited this shop, which specializes in crystal bowls marketed as tools for creating healing sounds. While the bowls are obviously made from low quality materials and questionable work ethics, I was most of all disappointed by the lack of evidence to support the claimed health benefits.
The prices struck me as extremely high, and it felt as though the shop might be catering to well-meaning spiritual seekers who may not realize the absence of scientific backing for these products. Read moreThe last thing Mt Shasta needs is MORE singing bowls (or crystal shops). This same company recently stole/took over what used to be a wonderful gallery, at 201 Mt Shasta Blvd, that represented many Local Artists, including myself. Now, none of which have a space to display work.
