Almost Famous is our go to candy store. The welcoming friendly staff/owner and huge selection of yummy snacks, sweets, and drinks always make the trip well worth it. The prices are also very reasonable despite some of these unique finds. My kids love coming in and checking out the selection. There are some staples that are always in stocks and then some rotating options. There is a candy for everyone here. You will even find some vegan alternative chocolates and suckers with bugs in them, or maybe you fancy yourself chocolate covered bacon. Do not even get me started on the drinks. Dang, why did it take us so long to walk into this amazing store! My kids ask all the time to visit and today was the day. From the front window, to the tiny carts, to the worldwide selection and did I mention the fair pricing, we had an amazing time. My children both purchased a medium stuffy and a children’s cart full of treats at an amazing price! We spent an hour wondering around the special popcorn, locally made candles (yes I bought one!), treats from around the world and gift baskets. Yeah, gift baskets!!!! The customer service was friendly but not clingy. We loved her and she was so sweet to my kids. They’ve won customers for life from this family of five treat lovers. Destination location for sure. This is such an adorable shop and they constantly keep it new and interesting. They are really great about having in-store events for kids whenever there's a fun thing going on downtown. This candy shop has a variety of specialty sodas as well.
