We purchased a full set of GE cafe appliances from Herald's last year. Our GE cafe dishwasher stopped working within the first year. Herald's told us that the computer board would need replaced (without even coming to look at it.) The dishwasher sat full of water for 3 weeks and they still didn't have the part as it was backordered. The owner's wife informed us she had a brand new dishwasher in the box at the store and we could just swap them out. She then claimed that my husband hurt her feelings because he was frustrated that our $1,800 dishwasher broke so quickly and Herald's was unable to fix it. This turned into TJ calling to threaten me that he wouldn't be providing a new dishwasher or fixing the current one because his wife's feelings were hurt. My husband was never rude or threatening to her on the phone nor did he even raise his voice. They delivered their FLOOR MODEL dishwasher as replacement for what they claimed was the brand new dishwasher. The floor model had scratches all over the front of it and TJ still claimed "it was newer than ours." This was in February and their service department has been out multiple times and that dishwasher is STILL not working properly. The latch is broken and we have a hard time getting the door to stay shut. There is condensation underneath our countertop and on the floor with every cycle ran even after they replaced a seal. TJ clearly doesn't know how to treat his customers and always takes the defense instead of apologizing and trying to remedy the problem. At this point we will likely just have to purchase a new dishwasher because TJ is incredibly rude every time we speak to him and doesn't care to fix the problem. He has never followed up after all of this time to ensure that the dishwasher was working properly. Horrible customer service! We tried to avoid a big box store by shopping here and it was the...
Read moreMy wife and I purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher 2 years ago from Herald’s which we use lightly to say the least. The drain pump has already gone bad on the dishwasher which has already cost me $120 service call and will cost me another $200 for the part and additional installation costs. We also bought a refrigerator, which works fine but upon installation they ripped the waterline (which they did repair) the front door had a large scratch (which they replaced after I called) , and the refrigerator is still not leveled properly and shakes when walking in/out of the kitchen or when opening/closing the door. My dissatisfaction was expressed in that the cost of repairs and service of this 2 years old dishwasher old dishwasher, I would be better off buying a new one. His reply was that they just sell the product and can’t account for the manufacturers mistake which I see the point. But I do feel you should stand behind the products that you sell. I always try to buy local but moving forward I will be taking my business to Lowe’s...
Read moreI stopped in today to just check it out. PERSONAL customer service! Very nice people. Owner working in store. Bought a fabulous washer dryer AND a dishwasher.
They know my washer quit so they are even delivering quickly. As a mom with a laundry pile.....I am so grateful... I didn't want to be rude and ask and they just did it.
I got a great deal on all of it... top of the line. The gentleman walked with me personally and helped me decide. He knew every single feature, what I needed and helped me choose the right one while staying in my tight budget.
I cannot say enough about the excellent service and experience with this store. They also will be doing all the service on the items. They stock American made!! Guy even knew the state they were made in.
I will NEVER shop elsewhere for appliances. Lowes was a nightmare for delivery and I still have to figure out how to lift/remove packaging from freezer after they dumped it off. Two totally different experiences. Shop...
