I was in this Kroger store Saturday. I was there to use their Western Union services. I told the fellow at the Customer service Desk that I would like to send $100 to Ghana . The Customer service agent then replied You want them to receive $100 I said yes. I gave him $120 $100 to send and $20 for the fee to send the money. He counted the money and gave me back $80 dollars. I said why are you giving me back 100 dollars. He replied you said you wanted them to receive 100 dollars. I was so confused because I was wondering if the fellow understands English or is messing with me. When I said to him Dude I want to send 100 dollars he then asked again you want them to receive 100 dollars. I was becoming frustrated . I repeated myself again maybe he finally understood and when I asked what he did not understand he started to get an attitude and was badgering me that I said I wanted them to receive 100 dollars also getting in my face while saying it to me . I then looked for his name tag saw it and it also said supervisor. I was like this has to go to management The take away I got from this . Is the fellow does not understand simple English. When you send a letter to a person they will receive the letter when delivered. How did he get to be a supervisor? He was lucky it was 9/11 I did not want tobe ignorant that day The supervisor harbored some I'll feelings towards people that that looked like him but had different naming conventions . I could see it clearly. If this was another day I would have caused a scene and management would have known right there and then. 9/11 saved the day Kroger either train your people and hire competent folks or the public will train them the hard way . I will still call the store and relay my...
Read moreMe and my family have been shopping at this location for almost 14 years. We have especially noticed a rapid decline in quality of service and management over the past 2 years. A majority of the employees have rotten attitudes and chips on their shoulders. Two experiences really stick out in my mind and I’ll share them here. The first one was when I went to the deli to get a sandwich. This was definitely during their working hours (and later verified by customer service) but when the guy working the counter saw me he said “what you want”? I said “A sandwich please...?” and he quickly responded - “We ain’t got none we closed” and pointed to the refrigerated section nearby that had pre-made sandwiches. The second experience was when I was in one of the two frozen section isles looking for breakfast potatoes. I couldn’t find them after walking through both isles multiple times and I noticed an employee was stocking a particular section of the isle so I figured that he would definitely know and be able to help. So I asked him and he didn’t turn around and muttered something quietly under his breath. I asked politely again and this time he quickly turned around and snapped yelling in my face “I DON’T KNOW!!!!”. This was really unnecessary. I’m not one of those rude, inhumane, demanding kind of customers. I myself have worked in food/grocery/customer service environments in the past and know how hard it can be. I always try and approach any employee at a business with the upmost respect. I’ll be going to Publix from here on out. What a shame. This used to be a...
Read moreThe last time I shopped here the Customer service desk was rude, and inattentive to the long line waiting to be served. Two employees were manning this station and neither one even acknowledged us. Once it was my turn and showed the F.E. manager the 2 items that rang up wrong, she asked if they were digital? Not knowing what she meant by digital, I responded that the shelf tags for both items were simply the price stated, $1.99 and they rang up $3.99 for one and $2.99 for the other one. She was curt and talked down to me. I mistakenly put my debit card in too soon for the refund process and she chastised me for not waiting until she told me to. I will hesitate to bring my business to this store in the future. I have patronized this store since it first opened, and sadly have watched the level of customer service decline over the last 2 years. For instance, when I have asked center aisle employees where certain items are located I get wrong answers or shoulder shrugs. Sad to see this. The produce, meat and seafood departments have been polite and helpful though, so I have to praise...
