I unfortunately had to look for flowers for a funeral after my mother's untimely and unexpected passing. Through the recommendation of a friend, I looked into City of Flowers.
Judy was very kind and agreed to meet with me and my family on short notice given the urgent need for our flowers. Not only did she meet with us, but she met with us on the morning of July 4th, when her shop was closed.
We were at a loss as to what flowers we would need, but Judy was able to provide us clear direction and guidance while showing us an abundance of examples, both in her photo books as well as arrangements she had in store. She provided us with ideas for arrangements and provided different price ranges to help us figure out flowers that would fit within our budget. She was also willing to provide us with easels to help display the different bouquets. At the end of our meeting which lasted about an hour, with her guidance we were able to come up with a color theme as well as our preferred flowers for the service. With those tips, we gave Judy the liberty to put together flowers at her discretion while providing her with our price point for the different arrangements.
Judy had the flowers delivered in a timely fashion directly to the chapel. When I walked into my mother's funeral service in the chapel, I was astounded by how beautiful the flowers appeared. There were about 15 large arrangements, not one exactly like another, but still similar enough to see the theme we were aiming for. I couldn't be more pleased with how the flowers turned out and so was my family. The flowers were not only beautifully arranged, but you could tell the flowers were very fresh as if they had just come from the flower farms.
In the end, my family and I couldn't be happier with the flowers Judy delivered for my mother's funeral services. We felt very well taken care of and did not have to stress about this very important part of the planning process. We appreciate Judy, how she accommodated our needs, and highly recommend her and City of Flowers for anyone looking for beautiful fresh flowers. ...

My uncle recently passed so my family was looking for a florist. Ana of City of Flowers was EXTREMELY accommodating, communicative, and reasonable with her pricing. As she works with the local demographic, she can print out Chinese characters for the banners for funerary wreaths and sprays as long as you provide her with the text; she was even able to use the font I provided to her. Ours was a pretty huge order (10+ arrangements that required easels, banners, and modifications) that even the funeral home remarked was a lot but Ana got it all done, delivered, and set up beautifully
If you need flowers in the South Bay, I cannot recommend her enough. Ana is a consummate professional and made a difficult time for my family easier to navigate
Life pro tip: all the floral arrangements that are ordered online through sites like 1800flowers, FTD, Teleflora, etc. and go to a local florist. They take a pretty substantial cut on top of charging an already lowered price and it all comes out of the florist’s pocket. Even if you don’t go with this business, please consider finding a local florist to wherever the flowers are to be received, telling them your budget, and asking what they can do for you so you at least get an idea of...

This place is just a mess. I placed my ordered online to be delivered on Valentine's Day. I made a note to be delivered around 12pm.
I did not get any confirmation emails like I usually do from other flower shops. so, I decided to call and confirm they received my order. Some lady answered the phone and said she wasn't able to locate my order. She said to give her a few minutes and she would call me back.
I waited all day and no call back. So, I decided to call the store right before closing just to be sure. Someone else answered, fortunately they were able to locate my order. Again, I told them if they could delivered around 1pm, she said that would be no problem.
Day of the delivery: 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and then 4:00 comes and still no flowers delivered.
I called the store and some man, assuming one of the delivery guys answered and rudely responded after I enquired about my order "I don't even know why they give you a specific time if they know we're really busy today"
Anyways, finally around 6pm the flowers were delivered. Mind you, I chose this flower shop because it's less than a mile away from the place where it was getting delivered and I still had to pay the $15 delivery fee.
If I would've known, I would've picked them up myself. I will never never again buy...
