Authentic and Flavorful Sichuan Cuisine!
We had an amazing dining experience here! The crispy tofu cubes were perfectly fried—golden, light, and airy on the outside, soft on the inside. The accompanying chili powder dip added a bold kick without overwhelming the tofu. Definitely a must-try starter!
The highlight was the sizzling dry pot (干锅)! Packed with tender beef, tripe, tofu skin, lotus root, and an abundance of fresh vegetables, all simmered in a rich, aromatic, spicy broth. It had that signature mala (numbing and spicy) flavor that hits just right. The portion size was generous and great for sharing.
Service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was cozy yet lively. If you’re craving legit Sichuan flavors, this place won’t disappoint.

Read moreWhat a gem in the heart of Mountain View! I was genuinely impressed by how affordable, flavorful, and welcoming this spot is. Parking can be a bit tricky on a busy Friday night, but with a couple of loops around the block, we managed to snag a spot.
We tried the rice noodles, pig feet, and fried fish — and every dish was a hit. The fried fish was especially impressive, made fresh from live fish, and perfectly crispy on the outside. The pig feet were rich and packed with bold, savory flavor. Bonus: you can customize your meal with extra add-ins like bok choy, tofu, and mushrooms, which made it even better.
And to top it all off, they offer free ice cream at the end — such a sweet touch! Definitely worth a visit if you're craving something comforting...
So excited! This is the first time I’ve found such authentic Guizhou cuisine in the U.S.! The moment I saw the name Huaxi Wang, I had a feeling it must be run by someone from Guizhou. When I looked at the menu, I was even more certain—this is exactly the hometown flavor we’ve been longing for while living far away from home!
As soon as we arrived and started talking with the owner, we were greeted by the familiar Guizhou accent. Then came a bowl of our beloved Su Gua Dou served with garlic paste and chili—one bite instantly took me back home. The beef rice noodles were incredibly authentic, with generous portions. The tender, melt-in-your-mouth beef tendon paired perfectly with pickled vegetables. Both of my sons kept saying, “So good! So good! Really delicious!”
The sour soup beef was also so appetizing—my husband couldn’t stop eating, finishing several bowls of rice with it. The beef was high quality, and the tangy broth is exactly what you need to refresh your appetite in summer. And they even had Zhe Er Gen (fish mint)—something you simply can’t find in most places here. After so many years in the U.S., I truly understand how precious that flavor is. Just a simple cold toss is enough to make the perfect starter.
The kids loved the old-fashioned yogurt and ice cream. The ice cream tasted completely different from what you usually find here—the owner said it’s made from fresh milk, and it was absolutely amazing! This is hands down the best Guizhou food in the Bay Area! There are still so many dishes I want to try—like the grilled fish and all the snacks you can only find authentically in China. The takeout packaging was beautiful and thoughtful, the service was excellent, and the owner was warm, generous, and incredibly attentive. I feel truly touched and fortunate to have had a dining experience that made me feel like I was back in my hometown, even while being so far...
