Taco Time NW — Restaurant in Mill Creek

Just attempted to order at this Taco Time and ended up driving to another Taco Time because the service was so unbelievably rude. When I pulled up, after waiting for about a minute, an incredibly rude woman said bluntly, " We're out of lettuce for the rest of the night." Then nothing but silence. This would have been perfect since our order always includes a request for no lettuce. So i asked, "can i still place an order?" When she responded, "uh, i guess", i then asked, "well are you still open?" Several minutes of silence followed by short, rude statements had now passed. Her final response was, "we're open for ONE. SINGLE. MORE. MINUTE." By then, certain my chances of special-sauce-tainted-food had just increased exponentially, I decided to pass, told her "Nevermind, I'm not sure what the issue is here, but I'll go to another location," and promptly drove to another Taco Time where service was exceedingly friendly as I've experienced at most other Taco Times locations as well. Sharp objects found in food!!!! Stay away! First off, the quality of the food is not up to par with other stores and where they were at a year ago. The beans are not fresh nor are the tortillas. The quality of filling and wrapping of the burritos are poor. On every burrito that we had purchased there was beans on the wrapper and the burritos were under filled.

On two occasions there were real health concerns. On the first occasion I personally found a piece of rock or dirt in the bean mixture. On the second occasion there was a sharp shard of metal found in my 7 year old daughters burrito. On both occasions I filed complaints with the general manager and with corporate with no follow up. The last two occasions have spanned around 6 months as I have waited for their quality to return back to what it had been. Stopped by on 7/4 around 3pm to pick up food for my mom. Prices were surprisingly high (nearly $7 for a single soft taco?), but the real issue was the service.

The cashier, Lexavier, seemed irritated from the moment I started ordering. He rushed through it, didn’t ask if I wanted anything else, and I had to finish the sentence just to confirm the order. When I got to the window, he handed me my card and drink at the same time, and acted annoyed that I didn’t immediately grab both while trying to separate them. Then, when the food was ready, he shoved the bag into my hand and gave a curt “thanks” after I said, “Have a nice day.”

I wasn’t expecting fine dining, but a little professionalism and basic courtesy would’ve gone a long way—especially at these prices. Won’t be returning to...
