On October 23rd I went to this store to use a $50 gift card.. my purchase... Urban Decay eyeshadow $22.. $23.54 with tax... they had only 1 in the color I wanted so when I got to the desk I asked if I could order another..Samantha was super helpfu! Checked me out and told me the online ordering was slow and if it wouldnt go through she would give me a coupon for free shipping to order at home... the general manager. Excused her to help someone else.. took over.. would not look me in the face as she was heling me.. as she was scrolling on the devise looking for the 'right shadow' because she now had to 'find' it...I suggested she scan the one already in the bag on the counter.. as I just wanted the same one.. call me a time waster;) she then asked for my payment... Well...I pointed to the gift card on the counter in front of her and said I will be using that.. the bag and the gift card were coincidentally right there together. She ran it..then asked me if I would like for her to throw it away... throw it away?????? 23.54 plus 23 54... I said I would like for you to check my balance. She said ok.. your card has a zero balance/is invalid... I said thats ok I will keep it just stick it in the bag. I leave that store thinking I am pretty sure the last time I used a gift card this same thing happened but I didnt keep the card I just let her throw it away.. my last gift card was same amount..same purchase..etc... same friend..same holiday....just now its one year later..I get home scratch off my code..call the 800 number.. guess what...I STILL HAD MONEY ON THE CARD. I call the store right then and it was just before closing..and guess who answers..the General Manager..I asked for her Supervisors name and contact...I filed a claim that night...I hope this was a one time incident. But I am sure it was not. Please check your balance.. Check prices. And dont let them keep your gift card. Or 'throw it away' Every cent adds up. A thief is a thief, doesnt matter which side of the counter they happen to be on...this time they just happen to have somehow fooled someone into thinking they were GERERAL MANAGER MATERIAL. Read moreThe salon manager is extremely rude and racist. I went to get my balayage done. Asked for brown. She showed me a copper red tone and I emphasized again that I want brown and No hint of red at all. She told me that it will turn out brown for sure. I was there for 3.5 hours. And had to leave then, manager was not there when I left and I had an infant to get back to. My hair were super red when I came and saw it after drying. I told her this and she told me to come after 5 days, they put a dye on again and it stayed red still. I left as there seemed to be nothing they could to fix it. I returned at another day when manager was available and she told me that since I was from ‘afghanistan’ and that I must have used henna or box dye in the past, after I repeatedly told her I had not’.( I am from Pakistan). Then she proceeded to tell me that due to my ethnicity, the dye turned out red which is an insult to my intelligence as she clearly used a copper red dye and did not want to admit her mistake. She refused to do anything at all about it and instead told me how I will have to take multiple trips to get what I want. I contacted ulta customer services who are an even bigger disappointment. Read moreWent to ulta today ready to spend my Christmas gift cards and as soon as I walked in there were two employees just standing there talking they did not greet me or anything. I’m so frustrated with ultras inconsistency. Last 2/3 times no one acknowledged me or asked if I needed anything. I saw them be perky and greet the other Caucasian customers that entered the store but completely ignored me once again. Then while I was shopping two girls up front were talking and gossiping instead of helping me ( I was in the store for at least 30 mins) I ended up just leaving because I was ready to spend my money but because no one feels the need to greet or help the “ black girl “ I just emptied my shopping bag and left. One of these days I’ll learn to spending my money here because clearly this team is selective about who they give “ great customer service “ to. The ulta In Terre haute was always friendly. Lastly I will be calling corporate about this repeating issue.
