Outback Steakhouse — Restaurant in Muncie

6 people in the party. One person had a dead fly floating on top of his glass of water and cold mashed potatoes. One received their burger once with cheese after ordering it plain, and again with a dark red middle when it was ordered medium well (it was closer to medium rare). One person ordered soup and didn't receive it until the very end of the meal because they "had a printer issue". One person had their food served in a cracked dish that allowed the food to seep through the crack (which we pointed out but told them we didn't really care just they may want to throw the dish away, the party member still enjoyed his food). Waitress showed up a total of four times in the hour and a half we were there, as a result the drinks were empty most of the time. They weren't even busy at the time, we could see her standing around talking to other employees ignoring us. After talking to the manager she agreed to comp the wrong and inedible items. When we attempted to pay the bill we included a coupon that had been mailed in the paper for 15% off and our credit card. When the bill came back our card had been run without the 15% discount applied and there was a note telling us to save the coupon for our next visit. After tracking down the manager again, since they didn't have the guts to tell us to our face up front they wouldn't except the coupon, we were told that because she had already comped parts of our meal she wouldn't accept the coupon. I'm sorry but its not my fault that the restaurant staff messed up as badly as they did and I see no reason why that excludes me from using a coupon. I've been to other Outbacks and had great experiences overall I like the chain, but stay away from this one. There's a competitor down the road where you'll get better food...

Came into the restaurant at 6 they were not busy at all ordered a blooming pedal then ordered our food our awesome waiter came to us and said I apologize the blooming pedals are not out yet and told his Manger about it then we got our food and I asked to speak to Manger about where the blooming pedals was and he said he would tell him. Our waiter came back 5 minutes and asked if Manger had come talk to us and we told him no he saI'd he would tell him again and in the mean time the Manger walked by our table at least 5 times and wouldn't look at us another 10 minutes had gone by and our waiter checks with us again and we told him still no Manger our poor waiter looked embarrassed that the Manger had still not spoken with us then another 7 minutes go by then finally the Manger comes to our table and talks to us and we explain the situation to him. He even acknowledge's he knew of the problem but said he was too busy to stop by when i proceeded to explain to him that he walked by our table and not address the issue when he admitted that he had knowledge that we didn't receive our blooming pedals 30 minutes ago he got mad and walked off without finishing the conversation. As manger walks off see him talk to other wait staff as to not help us out as no one would look at us Had to wait another 10 minutes before we received the bill. It's okay that food that gets lost but the fact he admitted he knew of problems and decided not to deal with us. And just walk by til he had no other choice. He is slender built with dark buzzed hair. I asked to speak to someone higher then him and he said he was my only choice no one else after I asked for...

Love the Outback Steakhouse....but this has to be the worse one I have ever been to! Ate there 4 Year’s ago and said I would never go back....but was craving a wallabdarn. Wasn’t many people in there when we arrived (4 of us) but was told there was a wait. I questioned why the wait there were probably 20 tables available. Was told it was because they were under staffed...on the 4th of July! We were told we could sit at the bar. There were dirty tables and butter on the floor. Had to stand there and wait for a table. Was waited on promptly and our order was placed. Waitress sat bread plates on the table and brought our drinks. After waiting a good while we asked where the bread was.....was told they were out. But she offered a replacement of white bread. Omg, it was two pieces of toasted Italian bread that had been toasted the day before....you couldn’t bite it even! Our meal came and my daughter n laws steak was rare and she asked for well done and didn’t get shrimp. ( ordered steak n shrimp). Our Aussie fries were cold and had been sitting for a long time. Our chicken was good but that was it. Our sons baked potato wasn’t done and did not receive his side of vegetables until he asked for them. We did speak to the manager TWICE and he took 50% off our bill...smh! Had to walk back across the butter smeared on the floor that was still there when we left!
